“Great Theater District with Welcoming Staff”

In Chicago for the opening of a play at The Goodman Theater (right around the corner from the Cambria) – this hotel met all of our expectations. The only average aspect was the in-hotel food options... minimal; but there are a host of great restaurants only steps away from the entrance.

Just Ok. Great location! Wish room was a little cleaner. I I could rate it as a 10 I would just for the location.

The rooms are not clean and its getting alittle run down. Couch was disgusting in room we didn't dare sit on it. Had to change rooms after checking mattress, had a huge dark stain. The rooms are not clean and its getting alittle run down. Couch was disgusting in room we didn't dare sit on it. Had to change rooms after checking mattress, had a huge dark stain. Walls and lamp had not been cleaned in a really long time. You can see spills on top of wallpaper that dried up and just left. Door to our room we could barely open. Great location, easy to find and navigate although parking was about a block away so carrying our luggage in the cold was not fun. We did have an awesome customer service lady named Kaitlyn who found us a new room, inspected it before moving us herself. She was great and very sweet. Wouldn’t recommend getting any snacks unless you want to pay 7.00 for a bottle of water. Good thing with our stay we got ready there and slept but was gone most of the time. Next trip we will find something more up to date and cleaner.

First to good: Location can't be beat. Easy transportation from Midway airport or O'Hare via the "L". Lots of great restaurants within walking distance, and room was very spacious. First to good: Location can't be beat. Easy transportation from Midway airport or O'Hare via the "L". Lots of great restaurants within walking distance, and room was very spacious. Beds were also super comfortable. Bad: All the public spaces were filthy. This was in part because it was January and there was snow on the ground, so floors were pretty dirty. But even first thing in the morning they were filthy, like they haven't been cleaned in days. Elevators had dirty handprints everywhere, lounge chairs in the lobby were shabby and the carpet in the public areas were super dingy. Room was mostly clean, but in a very quick "glossing over" sort of way. There was dried food on the edge of the desk, mildew on the grout in the bathroom and dirty finger prints on all the light switches and shiny surfaces.
