“An excellent suburban motel”

This is a suburban motel. My room was great. Everything operated as it should. The breakfast was the standard Choicehotel fare, which I find satisfactory. If I could get this hotel at a decent rate I would happily stay her again.

Our Temple traveled to Chicago for an Ordination performed by my husband. We arrived Friday afternoon around 2:00pm during check in the system was in the process of updating I didn't mind because the clerk was very nice and personable, she kept apologizing for the delay I told her no need and that I understood that these things happen anyway, we checked and went to our rooms (7) in all. I was ecstatic when I entered my room it was very spacious with two queen size beds with a sitting area which included a sofa-sleeper with a coffee table it was more than I expected! the room was clean and spacious I was pleased that I found this gem that was only 15 miles from the temple we were visiting and only 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. Everyone enjoyed the indoor swimming pool. ( swimming pools are a must for this group) We were able to use the computer in the business center to create and print a program at the last minute when the minister expressed that there was a need for one. The staff was very friendly and helpful with what ever we needed. We left Monday afternoon at 12:20 pm we were in Arkansas when a member of our congregation realized that she had left her leather coat and a garment bag which contained a grey suit in room 205. I called the hotel immediately and they informed me that housekeeping were gone but to call back tomorrow. I did call back the next day and I was informed that they did indeed find the items, I told them I would have someone pick them up for me and thanked them for their service. I received a phone call less than five minutes later informing me that the also found a tablet in room 215 which was my daughters room under the sofa. I had no knowledge of this because my daughter hadn't told me. I was so thankful and grateful for their professionalism and honesty words can't express how I feel. I was also informed the exact moment when Minister Sample picked up the items for me. this kind of customer service has renewed my faith in mankind there are still a select few that remains heap and shoulders above the rest keep up the good work guys YOU ROCK!!!!!! We spent Mothers Day weekend in Chicago area to visit our son and his wife. We have had terrible experiences with Choice Hotels for the past few years and hesitated to stay here but we had a lot of points and it earned us some free nights and/or reduced nights (figured we should use them up). What a great surprise! Unlike two others in the western suburbs, this one was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Not sure if there were many people staying during the weekend as it didn't seem terribly busy. We were greeted with bottles of water and mints in the room. Those little things make a difference and give a good feel. Most of the folks we worked with were pleasant and helpful. There were no glitches in check in for once. (They also didn't deactivate our room keys until we left!) The rooms (we had two - our daughters came with us) were clean, in mostly good repair, and the mattresses appeared to be fairly new. Comfy sleeping and good temp control in the room. The bathroom was clean and basic. However, there are nothing to complain about! Yea! The towels were fluffy and absorbent. The shower was clean and the shower head worked great! We have become used to having terrible hotel showers in Choice. The hallways were well lit, the elevator seemed to work great. Breakfast was excellent - hot items hot, cold items cold, very clean, and the young lady serving was great! The one issue we had was the hot tub. It's a hot tub not a jacuzzi. We had been on our feet all day and had looked forward to relaxing in the hot tub anyway. But the water was cloudy and it was way too hot to stand it and there weren't any controls in the pool area. Also, there was quite a bit of rust and need for upgrading in the pool area. In any event, it was nice to get into the pool for just a bit after our long day. Please keep up the great work. Your hotel is a place we'll be glad to return for another stay. (Might want to work on the pool area, though) It may seem to be a bit "picky" but we have has significant issues with Choice Hotels for the past 4 years; it became so bad that we 1) began staying in a different chain of properties and 2) wrote to the corporate offices. But this hotel exceeded our expectations. It's not as close to our son's home as some others but so we're so happy we gave them a try.
