Mechanical emergency necessitated unexpected stay so while waiting for tow truck I made my reservation via Hilton app. I arrived rattled, disheveled, shaken from losing my front wheel merging onto I-70 when ball joint failed, yikes !!! Helpful beyond words, everyone on staff was so very kind. I wrote names down on a paper I can't find now or I'd mention them individually because they truly deserve recognition. This hotel is sprawling w/rooms centered around huge open area with bar/restaurant & indoor pool right off the lobby. Behind fire doors are hallways with exterior rooms which are probably quieter than the interior rooms when lots of people are enjoying the pool. The layout is kind of confusing at first & friendly gal at front desk escorted me to my room, pushing the luggage cart while I held my little dog. Sweet kid! The room, king single, was lovely, spacious, spotless. Free wifi w/ample signal, in-room coffee & fridge. Although there was no microwave in the room, there was one in lobby available for guests to use. Shower-only bathroom was sparkling clean w/lots of bright white towels but not much counter area. Bed was very comfortable w/nice linens. Was awake at 3:30am wondering about the extent of damage to my pickup, finally fell back asleep about 6:30am...fire alarm went off @ 7:30. I had been given breakfast voucher but be advised they don't have a free continental, it's an order off the menu scenario. I enjoyed crispy home fried potatoes and grilled jalapenos. Enterprise located across the street was handy as I ended up renting a car to drive home to Missouri while repairs were being made. When my truck was ready I found another hotel just a couple blocks from auto shop but otherwise would've happily stayed here again.

“Not what I expected”

My first stay at the Doubletree was underwhelming. The decor overall is dark and gloomy. My room was on the pool side and constant noise from corn hole? and pool reverberated until 10:15 pm. My first stay at the Doubletree was underwhelming. The decor overall is dark and gloomy. My room was on the pool side and constant noise from corn hole? and pool reverberated until 10:15 pm. I was anxious to try it because I like to fly out of MHK airport. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was ok. I may give it another try someday.

“Cavernous, Quirky but Rooms Okay”

An old Sheraton property won’t stay there again. A plus….staff are friendly. But … the whole place left us feeling gloomy and the vibe was a bit eerie. Somewhat depressing. Another plus…clean room and bed was comfy. Upon arrival ….We could NOT find our room. It took three tries and finally the young woman at the desk helped us locate our second floor room. The room had two entrances and the keycard wouldn’t work on the door closest to the elevator. The management needs to take a serious look at the signage for the property from the perspective of a weary traveler loaded up with bags and arriving at a new place. One microwave for the whole property. Decor is dark and lackluster.
