“Great family place”

I have stayed here 3 times. We got the two bedroom suite. Clean and spacious Comfortable beds. Had a great breakfast. Good location. Quiet. Lots of amenities. Will stay again next year. I would highly recommend. Reasonable rates too! A great lace to take family !

We stayed at the TownePlace Suites Lexington South/Hamburg Place over a weekend in November 2024 and had an overall enjoyable experience. We booked two rooms, and the hotel kindly upgraded one to a 2-bedroom suite with a kitchenette, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Both rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The check-in process was smooth, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout most of our visit. The property is a little older, but everything was functional and well-maintained. The indoor pool was a plus for me. It was quiet during my multiple visits, with plenty of chairs, towels, and even some pool toys for kids, which was a nice touch. In pool area the water temperature and the room’s climate were just right, making it a relaxing and enjoyable feature. The hotel’s location is another strong point. It’s conveniently walkable to nearby stores, including Meijer, which had everything we needed for the weekend. Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants just a short drive away, adding to the overall convenience. Breakfast was okay—not exceptional, but it met our needs for a quick start to the day. The hotel was busy that weekend with a girls' sports team staying on the property. This might have contributed to some challenges, such as finding a luggage cart at checkout. While I eventually located one, it took some time, and the cart wasn’t fully cleaned. The front desk staff member on duty at the time seemed more focused on getting her breakfast from the buffet than assisting, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this minor issue, the stay overall was comfortable, and the staff’s friendliness and helpfulness for most of the visit left a positive impression. I’d rate this property 4 stars and would consider staying here again when in Lexington.

“Nasty housekeeping”

At first everything seemed fine until on my last day I opened a bedside table and found an opened condom wrapper in the drawer. At check-out I told the clerk, and he simply said, 'Oh, sorry about that'...nothing else. That was his attitude; nasty is ok there, I suppose.

We have stayed here many times traveling back and forth from Ohio to Tennessee. Our first few visits were great but the last two not so good. When checking in we were not greeted with a thank you for being a Titanium Bonvoy Marriott member. Upon entering our assigned room I immediately started sneezing and coughing. It smelled stale and then realized it is a pet friendly hotel. I called the desk and the manager was kind enough to bring keys to another room which was much fresher. Ideally it would be nice if hotels had rooms that are not pet friendly so people like myself, with allergies and sensitivities would not have to ask for a room change after experiencing a reaction. Later when my husband asked about water the young woman at the desk stated we would have to pay for water. Turns out it was $3.50 a bottle! Being at the level we are at we have always been given at least 2 small bottles and more upon request. Also the breakfast was nothing like before. There were no pastries at all, not even bagged muffins, etc. Fresh fruit consisted of green bananas and green apples. This is probably a franchise location and owners have some leeway as to what is offered, but very disappointed that things have changed, and not for the better.
