There are some places that will always hold a special place in your heart, and for me, it's Hotel Bourré Bonne in Louisville, Kentucky. The first time I came here was in November, just after I received the phone call in my office the day before Thanksgiving telling me that I had breast cancer. I remember arriving at the hotel feeling overwhelmed and in tears, trying to process everything. Jasmine, the front desk team member who checked me in, showed me so much kindness, compassion, and genuine care. I'll never forget how she made me feel during one of the hardest moments of my life. Coming back this past Friday was incredibly emotional because I am celebrating being five months cancer-free! 💕 Even more special, Jasmine was here once again to welcome me back with that same warm smile and heartfelt hospitality. I also want to give a heartfelt thank-you to Gina and Diamond in the restaurant. Diamond was the wonderful hostess who welcomed us into the restaurant each morning with such warmth and kindness. Gina made every breakfast so enjoyable, but today was unforgettable. We laughed so hard together that we were holding onto each other while I was eating breakfast! Those genuine moments of joy are something I'll always cherish. Thank you both for making me smile, laugh, and feel so at home. It truly was some of the best service I've ever experienced. Gina, I also want to personally thank you for the beautiful handwritten note you slipped under my door last night. When I returned to my room and found it, my heart was so full. That simple act of kindness blessed me more than you will ever know. Thank you for taking the time to make me feel so special and so loved. I also have to give a special shout-out to the maintenance technician. During my stay, I had an issue in my room, and not only did he fix it quickly, but he had me laughing the entire time. His professionalism, positive attitude, and ability to turn a frustrating situation into a joyful one truly made a difference. As a hotel leader myself, I have a deep appreciation for outstanding hospitality, and this team reminds me so much of my own Rockstar Team. Great service isn't just about doing your job—it's about making people feel welcomed, cared for, and valued. This team does exactly that. If you're ever visiting Louisville, Kentucky, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Bourré Bonne. The management team should be incredibly proud of the culture they've created and the amazing people who represent their hotel every day. Thank you to Jasmine, Gina, Diamond, the maintenance technician, and the entire team for making this visit so meaningful. Returning here five months cancer-free has been a beautiful reminder of how far I've come—and how kindness, compassion, laughter, and genuine hospitality can truly help heal the heart. You all turned a place that once held tears into a place that now holds joy, gratitude, and hope. “Beautiful classy comfortable!”

Rooms are so well done! Classy, modern and still very comfortable. The service was 5 star for anything we needed.

This hotel is located steps away from ”Whiskey Row.” Our room was spacious with a nice view of the landscaped front circle drive area & looking toward Main Street. Decor is modern. Rooms have electronic shades and sheer curtains (no blackout curtain so not completely dark at night). Room is equipped with a nice electric kettle for heating water for tea / coffee. Each floor has a hot / cold water and an ice dispenser by the elevator for bottle refills. Bathrooms are spacious with large shower and nice lighted mirror. Toilet area has its own door. There was a spacious desk plus a chaise lounge and bedside table for both sides of the bed. Handheld steamer is available in the room for removing wrinkles from clothes. Bar area is nice. The dinner menu was pricey but food was excellent. We had dinner here the first evening but did not try breakfast or lunch here as we were within walking distance to nearby restaurants. There is a nice rooftop bar & pool area if you like that sort of thing. Workout room was well-equipped. Valet parking was convenient (daily fee). Overall a nice stay at this smaller yet modern, elegant hotel.

Fabulous hotel! Cudos to the design team. Within walking distance of the Convention center, the YUM center, lots of Bourbon attractions, etc. The French Steakhouse was great also. Fabulous hotel! Cudos to the design team. Within walking distance of the Convention center, the YUM center, lots of Bourbon attractions, etc. The French Steakhouse was great also. The lighting in the ceiling looks like stars. The city is making Main Street a two-way street. That will be a good thing as it will calm traffic, reduce road noise, and make it easier for tourists like us to navigate the downtown. Loved the rooftop! The staff was very welcoming. Excellent customer service.. Can’t wait to return!
