Stopped in to look around and played while I was waiting for my food. Nice casino. Again shopping but more gifts for your friends at home. The walk isn't that long to get to the casino. Tons of restaurants outside too. I'd visit again clean and comfortable.

Stayed at Harrah's for 3 nights. I've been to Vegas many times. Have stayed in The Venetian, The Mirage, the old Hard Rock hotel., Harrah's has some pros and cons. It wasn't my best Vegas hotel experience and falls somewhere in the middle. Pros: The location on the strip is convenient The room was very quiet and you can actually sleep well here The casino itself was clean The front desk was friendly and overall helpful Cons: -The dining options inside the hotel are lackluster -The shopping inside the hotel is lackluster -The hotel could use some attention - I.e chipped counters, worn paint - you notice these things after staying at places like The Venetian where nothing seems out of place Biggest Cons: Housekeeping and Room Types Room Types: we booked a standard Mountain View, upon check in we opted to "upgrade" to strip view for $22 extra per night First room we were assigned was tiny with a view of the back of a Pizza Hut with the mirage hotel in the background We complained that we felt the strip view was not worth it (the Venetian strip view rooms are actually strip view btw) We were moved to a room on the "vip floor" on the 31st floor. This was still not a strip view. It was a Mountain View with a half view of the sphere and the Ferris wheel. We didn't want to keep changing rooms so we kept it. But we were never given the strip view that was promised Housekeeping: The service for housekeeping in Harrah's is an embarrassment. Upon check in at the kiosk and then when I followed up in person at the front desk, we were asked if we wanted housekeeping everyday. We said yes both times. Every night we would come back to our room at 5-6pm with a dirty room. I had to call and demand housekeeping every day. When the housekeeping did happen, it wasn't true housekeeping. True housekeeping is vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, emptying the trash, providing fresh towels, etc actually CLEANING the room. Every night the "housekeeping" involved making the bed with wrinkly sheets, and removing the dirty towels. Nothing more. We had trash in garbage cans the whole trip that was never removed. Trash on the floor never removed. Hair and soap in the shower never cleaned. Never given additional fresh towels despite using some towels every day. We brought our concerns to the front desk who said they are understaffed and do not have enough people to clean occupied rooms. Even though one morning the housekeeper was cleaning the room next to us and saw us leave - nothing was ever cleaned without us asking for it. We indicated we wanted housekeeping upon check in so I guess they just ignore some rooms and don't clean them unless you complain? I've never had to ask every day for housekeeping in a hotel and I've stayed in some dives. I don't consider Harrah's to be a dive but they're certainly acting like it. Also the housekeeping they did do was an embarrassment. The staff clearly doesn't care anymore. Also the front desk indicated some of the "strip view" rooms do face the back of buildings with a limited view of the strip so that's just false advertising. It felt like Harrah's was just trying to get one over on us with rooms and house keeping until we complained about it The front desk refunded us some money for the trouble but the experience has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. I think next time I'll spend a little more money and stay at The Venetian where I don't have to tell people how to do their jobs.
