Just got back from a 7 day stay at Elara. I have been to this hotel many times. We stayed in a one bedroom king suite. I really like the electric blackout blinds, kitchen with dishwasher and having a separate living room area to the bedroom. The room was very spacious and had great views. Upon checkin the lady was very pleasant and gave us some bottled water which was welcomed after coming off a long flight and it was very hot. It would be helpful to explain the dvd rental that you get as part of your resort fee and the F1 simulator that you can do as part staying at the hotel (although its barely open). The hotel is conveniently positioned through the miracle mile mall and central strip location. This hotel is nice and quiet as it doesnt have a casino so its an appropriate choice if you have kids. The housekeeping was a bit hit and miss and one day we asked the maid to empty our bins and she said 'yeah just empty it in this trolley, so we had to do it ourselves'. The pool area is nice and relaxed and we never had any issues getting a sun lounger. One area that could be improved was the floor material they have around the pool. Not sure what it was but little stones broke off and stuck to your feet and you could see the stones in the bottom of the pool. It would be better and more hygenic to have some tiles around this area. They had lots of lifeguards around which was reassuring, but on some days part of the pool was closed (im guessing this was because they didnt have enough lifeguards) but the pool is not the biggest and 4 lifeguards seems quite a lot. The resort fee is $40 + tax which gets you wifi which seemed pretty reliable, 2 bottled waters each day / a standard coffee at starbucks, dvd rental and use of the F1 racing. Whilst i hate resort fees this hotel has one of the cheapest resort fees which is attractive and a selling point and at least you get some water. All the desk people were really nice and welcoming. I do really like this hotel as it offers something different with the room set up and cheaper resort fees. I would stay here again and had a great comfortable stay.

We stayed at the Elara for four nights and love the Elara and this was our fifth time we stayed there. The facility is clean, the one bedroom is great and the location is excellent. One of the main reasons we go back to the Elara is to see Luis at the pool. We actually called to make sure he was still there since it was two years since we went there. If he wasn't there we were going to a different property. He is such a good down to earth person. My wife is recovering from lung cancel and had a 5 1/2 hour surgery in January. He must have hugged us 5+ times saying how happy he was to hear the news. He always talks very favorably of Hilton and working at the Elara, a true company man. He needs to be recognized by upper management. I would also like to mention Calvin the security desk by the elevators. A very friendly and nice man. My wife and I have stayed at Elara 3-4x/ year for several years and always enjoy it. The junior suite room is very spacious with a supper mini- kitchen area, access to Miracle Mall shows/restaurants/snacks is incredibly convenient, and the staff is very courteous and helpful. I always appreciate the little perks we get as a Diamond member, and I was very appreciative this trip of the way the reservations dept handled a reservations/billing issue that arose due to a booking error. In the perfect world, the parking deck wouldn’t be as busy, and the gift shop prices would be a little different, but overall the Hilton Elara staff does a great job — we feel like it’s a very good value.

“Here are some Pro's, Con's and Tips”

Overall our stay at the Hilton Grand Vacation Elara was positive – we were satisfied but not overly impressed. The Pro’s - The hotel quality was good for the price – rooms were clean, modern, adequate. Nothing fancy but not run down or outdated. - The location was excellent – especially for food options. The entrance to the miracle mile shops is connected to the hotel lobby. It provides easy (indoor) walking access to dozens of restaurants and shops. - As a pool connoisseur - the pool has a beautiful resort-style layout, it’s very clean and well maintained, and it’s great for lounging. Lots of in-water lounge chairs etc. It’s easy to grab a vacant lounge chair to sit (in the sun). Getting a shady spot was tough though. - The drinks are expensive, but the food served at the pool is very reasonably priced and good quality. A decent sized American breakfast ($18) for example. - The Starbucks in the hotel lobby was very convenient. We ordered on the app and pickup was super easy and fast. The Con’s - There is no room service/ on site restaurant (though we were fine with that since the miracle mile shops and restaurants are close). - They had staffing issues at the pool. On Saturday until 4pm AND Sunday all day - they couldn’t even open the entire pool because they didn’t have enough lifeguards. The pool is PACKED with people and only 2/3 of it was open! (see photos). - On Sunday afternoon around 2:30 it got windy and rained a bit (about 25mins). They didn’t reopen the pool once the system passed. The weather cleared up around 3, and the pool was not reopened. - I had difficulty with the day bed/ cabana rental at the pool. I booked online Wednesday night (August 5) for Thursday, August 6, as instructed. When I arrived Thursday, I was told the online system wasn’t working and that the pending charge would be refunded, so I paid again at the pool. Six days later, the original charge was fully processed instead of refunded. I emailed the front desk Monday and am still waiting for a response. - Our room wasn’t cleaned until almost 5pm most days (often right when we were coming back to shower and get ready for dinner). Tips - If you want to spend the day at the pool – get there early (before 8:30/ 9) to secure a spot next to an umbrella. For the quietest / best area, go to the far end (as far away from the entrance as possible). The chairs are less cluttered together and there are more umbrella options over there. That side of the pool also seemed more chill. - Go to the nearby wallgreens to buy snacks and other stuff you need. Avoid the super expensive gift shop in the lobby – which also has limited selection. The wallgreens sells a wide range of booze, sandwiches, fruit, fresh snacks etc (way nicer than our Wallgreens at home). - In room #406 we had the absolute worst view probably in the entire hotel – avoid that room if you can. The view is literally just a rooftop with like the air conditioning units and other stuff. We arrived early in the morning and by 3pm we finally just wanted our room - so we took whatever they could give us. Check-in isn’t until 4pm so keep that in mind.
