We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Peter and Paul, We were guests during Mardi Gras 2026. The staff were helpful and nice during this busy time. Iesha, working the front desk, was especially helpful and we really appreciated her hospitality and help after an exhausting full day of Mardi Gras fun!!

We can't stop raving to friends about our experience staying at this charming, historic hotel. It started with the friendly, welcoming staff (Diana) that found us a lovely room even thought the hotel was full of wedding guests as our travel agent had booked the wrong dates. It continued with our romantic comfortable room and the third floor lounge with the honor bar. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning with the friendly, professional service of Secret, our server. While the hotel is walking distance to French Quarter (15 min) it is in a quiet neighborhood. We read there will be a pool finished early Summer. They also have a deep discounted month stay option for the Summer. We will be back!

Wow. Wow wow wow. I booked this hotel on HotelTonight last minute as I was driving cross country unexpectedly after receiving news of my father’s cancer diagnosis. I was searching for a pet friendly hotel that would accept my giant lovable dog and found very limited options. Until I stumbled upon this one! What was initially expected to just be an overnight landing pad as we made our way quickly became anything but; starting with arrival. Initially, my husband was side eyeing me as the GPS counted down the minutes to the hotel. We were arriving at night and the neighborhood didn’t scream “family friendly.” Thankfully he pressed on, the glow of 2 LGBTQ bars brightening up the otherwise dark streets. Just beyond that, the beautiful architecture of the church jetted up in the sky; twinkling romantic string lights illuminating the drive thru where you park to check in. You know when a place has quiet magic? Where it feels like a warm hug, and your heart almost skips a beat when you lay eyes on it? I got goosebumps hopping out the vehicle; immediately the sense of being somewhere special overtook me. The lobby was unbelievable, it felt almost like walking the halls of Hogwarts. So much so, despite driving all day from Texas, crying over the news of my father, overstimulated from a crying baby in the backseat; I still was enamored enough to have to fight back urges to explore every nook and cranny. A smiling receptionist greeted me warmly, his kind and friendly presence yet low volume almost ASMR in the magical hall. I was instantly relaxed and ready to snuggle into bed, as if I was greeted by a friend welcoming me home. As if his natural charisma wasn’t enough, he brought my overtired toddler an adorable coloring book with fun drawings of the hotel, and a yellow fan. That alone bought me enough time to comfortably unload the truck on their luggage racks without interruptions. (I still own both gifts to this day… the beautiful yellow fan even mounted on my wall, art to remember that special stay.) I was shocked upon entering the room at how unique, well designed, and just plain interesting it was. My daughter and I giggled, exploring the magic around every corner. The bright shower was so exciting. The low ceilings, just tall enough for a 2 year old to sneak around and play. Enough space to sprawl luggage and its belongings out every which way without entering the walk way. An ADHD travelers dream. And don’t even get me started on the claw foot tub direct across from the foot of the bed. Never before have I been able to lounge in crisp white sheets, enjoying a morning coffee while watching my little one enjoy a calm bath. Writing reviews on hotel stays is not something I have done before, normally it is a fleeting moment lost to time. But Hotel Peter and Paul was special, and not even just because of its charm and beauty, but because it was the first hotel I’ve experienced some sort of phenomenon. Now what that phenomenon was I still haven’t determined and probably never will. Haunted? Maybe. I also felt like it could be God, as it was a very religious site and the only art on the wall was Jesus. But whatever it was, for the sake of the story, let’s call it a ghost. It’s not too far fetched being that there are plenty of places deemed haunted in NOLA. In the dead of nighttime, all three of us in bed asleep, I was awoken by the bathroom lights on and the bathroom sink sounding like it was running. It was bizarre, enough to make me check if my husband and daughter were both still beside me and sure enough they were. So I fell back asleep immediately which is alarming and besides the point, only to be awoken again later in the night to the loud sound of the very heavy curtain being jerked open or closed. This time I remember feeling like an energy or something in the room but was never scared. It felt friendly. Overall it was exciting, beautiful, peaceful, and felt like the real magic of New Orleans. I was shocked the next day not seeing any ghost stories about this hotel when I googled it! This is my favorite hotel now. Walking distance also to a delicious breakfast spot. I look forward to returning someday and seeing if my friendly visitor returns. Thank you Hotel Peter and Paul for the hospitality and breath of fresh air on an otherwise depressing trip.

“Beautiful and unique luxury hotel”

Love this hotel for being close enough to the quarter, but in a more quiet and interesting area. Hotel, rooms and common areas are gorgeous and the bar/restaurant top notch and very romantic. Friendly and helpful staff.
