Excellent location for attending 1st Friday Street Fair in Havre de Grace, MD. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Hotel staff in very welcoming and the hotel has a pool and a very inviting fire pit to sit around and maybe make some new friends.

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I like to stay at different properties across its portfolio. I wanted to try an overnight trip to Aberdeen on Amtrak so I chose this hotel, closest to that station. I knew it was a little too far to walk especially with luggage, so took Uber both ways for a quick trip. As I always do I checked in and chose my room the day before arrival. Upon my arriving at the property I went to my suite with Digital Key. Front desk staff was friendly. The suite was certainly comfortable for my needs. No issues with temperature control, WiFi, nor TV. Bathroom hand ample counter space and plenty hot water for shower. The only caution I would offer here is that while "nearby" restaurants such as the Golden Corral are suggested, without a car to get across busy US 40 requires walking alongside the road for a bit and then crossing at a signal. I did not see a sidewalk. For my safety and because it was getting dark, I decided not to attempt this, but instead ordered dinner delivered from a local pizzeria via a phone app based service. I slept well in the comfortable bed. In the morning I enjoyed the breakfast offerings, and was soon on my way. Overall I had no issues with this property.

As a Hilton Honor Diamond member ( first time ever I haven't been identified as such and given a welcome bag) and a nurse consultant, I travel at least half the year and always stay within the Hilton franchise. I prefer the Home2Suites (usually) or the Homewood locations due to having kitchenette accommodations and being pet friendly. This particular location was a bit disappointing. The beds are not standard queen size beds ( yes I measured them and they are 58 inches with covers. Standard is 60 without covers). It doesn't sound like much but it makes a difference when you have 2 people in the bed. The mattresses are well worn yet not totally uncomfortable, but definitely not the mattress quality I usually find within the Hilton brand places I usually stay, but maybe they are replacing them as they are making updates. While the hotel is clean as a whole, things like the shower drain ( it had hair left in it from the previous guests I assume), dishes, microwave and counters (behind the coffee pot and hot plate) were not cleaned well. I travel a lot, both professionally and personally, and this was definitely not the worst location I have been too, but they do have room for improvement. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Microwaved breakfast sandwiches, biscuits gravy or oatmeal, one fresh fruit option, cereals and yogurts along with the standard waffle set up was okay. There was a day when they didn't have the breakfast sandwiches due to ordering, but no big deal there for me, but anyone with a gluten allergy might have to look elsewhere for breakfast. It would be nice to have a little more variety (specifically some protein options), but it's a basic complementary breakfast and serves the purpose. The staff were fantastic and super friendly. Although many reviews complain about the logistics for getting into the parking lot, I had no problem whatsoever. The location was convenient for our needs and we would likely stay here again. Replace the beds with at least a standard size queen, if not a king, and provide more variety in the breakfast line up and I'd definitely be a regular ( we come to visit family frequently and usually stay multiple weeks through the year) for this location.
