#1 Feature - You are right on top of TD Garden and you could crab-walk to a Celtics game. Lots of local eateries nearby and a quick jaunt to the airport. I was here solo for work, so the tiny euro-style rooms didnt bother me, and the beds were very comfy. When other reviewers say its small, understand they arent kidding around.... its like tiny RV small. Like feet in the shower while on the commode small. Baby desk in the room barely fit my 13 inch laptop and mouse pad for external mouse. Wifi was very good and remote VPN was no issue. All of that aside, the real thing that would drive me from staying here again is the staff's un-waivering requirement to use the online system for everything. Ask for help? Ask for where something is? 'Use the screen'. Uhm there are two staff members watching me struggle, can you help? No, everything must use the 'High-tech for year 2000' screens and online system. At the end of the day, I felt like the staff was annoyed at us being there.

First, the positives: - Conveniently located - Soundproof walls - Clean surfaces - Body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower - A small drawer refrigerator And now the rest: - Nowhere to actually stash your gear or get comfortable - The only surface to sit on is the bed, which is wedged right up next to the window, meaning that if there are two of you, one has to climb over the other to get up. - Mattress was hard yet unsupportive (understructure has been compressed). - Lighting is for the full room and has two settings: blinding or pitch-black. - Two charging ports, too far away from the bed - No coffee maker. Call me basic, but when breakfast is $20, I appreciate the option of room coffee. - No parking validation for nearby garage - Bathroom is a smoked glass wall jutting into the middle of the room, and let's just say there is no audio privacy.

Not sure what has happened since Marriott took this hotel over but I am super disappointed. I have just spent another five nights at this property which I have spent a lot of time at over the last four years. There are no face cloths provided in the rooms and I was told I had to go to the bar to get some. There are no longer any glasses in the rooms for teeth brushing, there was no pen and paper, there were only two and not four pillows on the bed which is silly for two adults. There were only two towels in the bathroom.. ummm, often women wash their hair and need a towel for that and a towel for drying their body and my partner had no towel as a result and he had to ask for two to be sent to the room and two more pillows. Most distressing was the fact that the blinds in room 835 did not block out the light and there was a real draft coming in the window. We had to jam a hand towel in the corner of the window because there was such a draft. The ceiling had a bunch of pain chipping off and random nail pop type holes which was really distracting. The floor was sticky when we arrived. Really disappointed with the changes which for the price paid per night should not have happened. I have been staying at this hotel every time in Boston for the last four years and won’t stay again and will be sharing my review across all travel platforms. I travel a lot and these changes have affected my perception of the quality which was always great. It is a shame.

Very small rooms no tea or coffee but with remote control blinds to No privacy in room having to climb over the other person in the bed as it’s a double bed bang next to the window
