Another nice stay, they upgraded me to a suites. Room was comfortable and slept well. Many restaurants close by. Easy freeway access. Staff is always very professional.

“Seems Like It's Going Downhill”

Pros: The room was large. The location was good -- lots of shopping and restaurants nearby with easy access to the highway. Pros: The room was large. The location was good -- lots of shopping and restaurants nearby with easy access to the highway. There was a friendly front desk person, whose name I don't remember unfortunately. She was very helpful when we needed extra towels. The housekeeping staff were all very nice. The beds were standard Hampton Inn beds and very comfortable. The cook top and microwave were in good working order. Cons: To start, there was a pervasive smell in the hallway to the elevator and to the exit. The closest thing I can compare it to was old mop water. There were multiple college hockey teams staying at the hotel and we could smell the mop water/mildew smell even through the cloud of Axe body spray in the mornings. The elevator itself was an adventure in trust for me. It traveled smoothly enough and came to a soft, almost imperceptible stop. Then we waited. I counted to 30 on more than one occasion. Then, it settled with a lurch that left my friend and I grasping for the sides it startled us so badly the first couple of times. Then we waited another 10-15 seconds before the door would slowly open. The room had lots of space, but the kitchen just had a mini fridge. The chairs for the bar top level table were regular height so the table came up to just below our necks when seated (using a pillow for a booster). The room was worn, with tears in the roller shades and large stains on the carpets. Aside from the cheerful blonde woman, the front desk staff were gruff at best and looked exhausted. Honestly, it's unclear to me how this hotel has a TA rating of 4.3. While this hotel will put a roof over your head and give you a comfortable night's sleep, I can't really recommend it, especially at the rates they charged. I'd say maybe it's worth it if you can reserve for $150 or less or just stay one night.
