“Wonderful Experience”
The Higher Ground Hotel was one of the best hotel stays I've had. We were 4 women traveling together. The hotel is right across the street from Truman's home. The rooms were spotless and the owners friendly. What we enjoyed the most was sitting in the beautiful garden with flowers and a waterfall.

“Beautiful B&B”
Such a beautiful place rooms were extra clean, breakfast had delicious coffee and sausage eggs toast or muffins. We were in town for a Chiefs game, we used Uber very reasonable price going and coming back to hotel if you can wait about an hour for uber, the price goes down a lot if you wait a littl… more

“Perfect room and location, terrific service”
We had a very pleasant stay at the HIgher Ground, perfect location, very comfortable, nice breakfast and friendly staff. They even went out of their way to make pancakes for my son. Across the street from the Truman House and it was nice not to be in an anonymous hotel.

“Great service and super clean!”
We arrived and the garden area was perfect for relaxing! Our room even had a skylight! So nice! We will stay again ! The garden area was spectacular our room and all areas were exceptionally clean. Attention to details! Even a prayer on our bed

“great location near Truman Museum and Library”
Very clean, quiet, kind of unique. Very different from the larger big name hotels. The garden is lovely, a nice place to sit and read. Breakfast is included and also parking is free. Just across the street from Harry and Bess's home and a short drive to the Truman Museum and Library.
