“Stay at this one and not the one downtown! It’s far nicer here!”

Great hotel, superb welcome, Bev on reception was so lovely. Double checking that we had feather free rooms. Lots of cookies, recognised my status , gave lots of information about the hotel and area. Lovely clean rooms. All in all a great experience at this hotel.

I used my points to get a room for my sister for one night, Thursday May 29. I called the hotel directly first to inquire about the renovations. The girl who answered the phone was very friendly & helpful, indicating they were finishing up on the 2nd floor. They had started at the top floor and worked their way down. Based on that info, I picked a corner room on the 3rd floor for my sister, since it was the most recently completed floor. She was not overly concerned about construction noises as she would wake well before 8 am. This was her response to me when I asked her about her stay: “It was very nice. Construction impact barely noticeable and I was one floor above it. I asked for a blow dryer in the morning and it was delivered within minutes by a friendly employee.” I guess we’re not overly picky. But seriously, I HAVE had terrible stays at some hotels. This one though, according to my sister, was not one of those times.

First time stay at this property for business in the area. Disappointed as a Diamond Member and soon to be lifetime Diamond Member that this property does not have a cable service provider that offers a CBS affiliate. First time stay at this property for business in the area. Disappointed as a Diamond Member and soon to be lifetime Diamond Member that this property does not have a cable service provider that offers a CBS affiliate. This option was certainly missed while I stayed on property for 4 nights. My options for streaming from my I-pad were also limited due to a slow connection. Bathroom includes a Bluetooth connection vanity mirror, but no access to one of the major tv broadcast outlets or decent bandwidth. However, the room was equipped with a refrigerator which is nice for leftovers, but Doubletrees have no in room microwaves. The guest microwave is in the lobby. Access to rooms via elevator requires a key card which is nice. The staff at the on property restaurant was super helpful on the morning I went down for breakfast due to being ill and worked from my room instead of going into the office. I very much appreciated them getting me tea, honey, lemon, hot water and breakfast items to take back to my room. Parking is plentiful and a conference center is next door with public parking. There are many nearby dining options and Houlihan’s is listed as the hotel dining option with room service availability. A Walmart is across the street. Opportunities for cleaning improvement include the bathroom vent which needs to be added to a master sanitation schedule for regular cleaning.
