If you're visiting Monument Valley, staying in one of The View Hotel's cabins is an experience you'll remember for a lifetime. The view is truly unbeatable. Waking up and stepping out onto the porch to watch the sunrise over the Mittens was one of the most incredible moments of our entire trip. No photograph can fully capture how breathtaking it is in person. The cabin itself was clean, quiet, and offered the privacy we were looking for. The porch was, without a doubt, our favorite part of the stay. We spent time outside watching both the sunset and sunrise over Monument Valley, and each was absolutely spectacular. After dark, the sky came alive with countless stars. It was incredibly peaceful and made for an unforgettable experience. There were only a couple of minor drawbacks. The cabins are advertised as having a **full kitchen**, but we found that description to be somewhat misleading. While there is a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and countertop space, there is no oven or stovetop, and every cabinet was completely empty. There weren't any utensils, bowls, plates, cups, paper towels, or even the most basic kitchen items. If you're planning to prepare any meals, be aware that you'll either need to bring absolutely everything yourself or plan accordingly. Providing at least the basic essentials would better match the description of a "full kitchen." The other minor challenge was the number of flies. Every time we opened the door, several would find their way inside, so keeping the cabin fly-free required a little extra effort. It's understandable given the desert environment, but it's something future guests should know. One other thing to note is that the cabins do not have a TV. For us, that wasn't a negative—we came to disconnect and enjoy the scenery—but it's worth knowing if that's an important amenity for you. The cabins are just a short walk or quick drive from the main hotel, where you'll find the restaurant and trading post, making it convenient to grab a meal or browse the gift shop. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely choose a cabin again. The location, peaceful atmosphere, and truly spectacular views far outweigh the minor inconveniences. If you're looking for a unique experience immersed in Monument Valley's incredible landscape, this is hard to beat.
