Great hotel! It was very clean, the front desk staff were very friendly. Due to being caught in bad weather, we had to use the washer, which was very small. The only other problem we experienced was our granddaughter accidentally left her mini iPad behind, which she uses for communication, when she used the bathroom, before we left the room. We thought we had it packed in her backpack and didn’t notice it was left behind until we were on the road. When we used the find my iPad location, it said it was still at the hotel. We called the hotel. Staff said they would leave a message for the manager and housekeeping staff. We didn’t hear anything. So we called the next morning, as it still reported the hotel as the last location. However, the iPad was obviously out of power. Staff said they would check. They repeated my number, which was incorrectly written down, due to poor cell connectivity/weather conditions on the previous day. The front desk person stated she had been off all week but she would check with Jasmine and the assistant manager when he came in. I mentioned we were about three hours away and would appreciate it if there was any way they could find out if anyone had picked it up, as it has a program on it for her communication and it’s no longer under warranty. The staff member was very helpful and was able to ask the manager to check both the office for housekeeping and the room where we stayed, to see if the iPad was left in either location. The manager also asked if we had checked the find my iPad. I said the last known location was still shown to be at the hotel, and our granddaughter was last seen using it by the desk in the room. The staff member said the pink iPad with her name on the back of it was not found. At this point, lesson learned, after years of double and triple checking ourselves to not leave things behind, it happened. Unfortunately, it came at the expense of our nonverbal granddaughter losing a very expensive piece of equipment that was no longer covered under insurance/warranty. It’s our fault, and we own up to it. Staff at the front desk and management tried to help us. It’s just too bad that some person out there saw this technology laying around and didn’t feel it was urgent enough to turn it in to staff at the front desk. We have notified Apple that it was lost. So, if anyone tries to use it, the device will be useless. To the person who found it you should have turned it in.
