“Highly recommended!”
I realize 5* reviews should be for Four Seasons or Peninsula hotels, but HJ Portsmouth New Hampshire really delivered. Very helpful hotel staff. “Great experience”
Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and had everything you need. Descent breakfast and coffee. Convenient to downtown Portsmouth and grocery stores.

“Good for sleeping and showering”
If you are looking for a place to sleep and shower, this is fine. It’s all we needed over the Thanksgiving holiday. We did have trouble with the room temperature and the bathroom was FREEZING. “Glad it was only one night”
We stayed here for just one night. Hotel is on the older side. Corridors are a bit musty, and people seem to leave their rooms latched open which is weird and kinda uncomfortable. Bed was ok.
