“Nice Hotel”

Nice room, nice bathroom, bed was good and we had a nice view. The service was really good, especially from Jenny!! She needs promotion. It was a good experience here in New York City. If I come back I will definitely book again at this hotel!!!

“Good and bad (some unsafe)”

We arrived on a Friday, stayed until Tuesday morning. Good stuff - Front desk staff was very friendly, bell hops fun to talk to, decent workout room. Room were very clean, and housekeeping was very pleasant. The location is excellent, and you cannot beat the views. We were on the 43rd floor, and could see so much of TS, and the surrounding buildings from our corner room. Not so good stuff (for some people) - Because of the location, you can hear street noise, car horns, performers at all times. If you keep the window closed, that does help with outside noise, but it is never going to be quiet. But you're in TS, so take that into account, as that should be expected in that location. Room didn't ever get totally dark (which I appreciated) Bad/unsafe stuff - This will be a much longer review portion, and I've included pictures. Overall, maintenance in this hotel was SEVERELY lacking, even unsafe at points. When we walked into the room, the refrigerator was exactly in the position pictured, you can see the entrance hallway behind it. Very unsafe, tripping hazard. I asked about it, and apparently they don't usually have refrigerators in the rooms, so that must have been left from a previous guest. However, a) why was it not put in the cabinet that is made for it, and more importantly b) why would anyone leave it sitting out in the floor like that, rather than at least pushing it towards the wall. The bed was made of solid wood (great for beauty!), but because the corners stuck out, within minutes, both of us had hit it with our foot, causing small injuries. I placed the TP in front of it to avoid further incidents. Highly recommend some sort of padding be placed on the front corners of these beds. The shower pressure was very high (could not complain about the shower pressure, or the hot water which was instant), and the tub could not keep up with the amount of water. In a 5 minute shower, the tub was over my ankles deep in water. 20 minutes later it still had not fully drained. The bathroom sink could not be filled if needed, since the knob was completely missing. In the fitness center, there were two bathrooms. One of them, the doorknob/lock mechanism didn't work at all, and it was the only one with a shower in it, if that was a needed room. Overall, I think that if they can correct some of these issues, I would be far more likely to recommend. But again, staff, cleanliness and LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION does help with the recommendation.
