This was a great location right next to Grand Central Station. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Times Square was a 10-15 minute walk. I would most definitely stay nearby should I come here again The bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious. However, the actual room is not big, but then when in New York, you do not spend a lot of time inside the hotel. Breakfast tokens provided with very minimal menu, but food was good The fitness suite had the relevant equipment to do a decent workout but was limited The cleaning staff were really friendly, but I would back some of the reviews in terms of staff at reception and in the restaurant just needed to be a little bit more friendly and welcoming and I am surprised management and have not had that conversation and if they had it clearly has been ignored Overall, it was a good stay

This served as a good enough base for us during our trip. Pros- location is great, close to grand central, Times Square, fifth ave etc. stores, coffee places and restaurants all nearby. Room is decent enough in terms of size and amenities, we were 2 girls and we had plenty of space to store our clothes, make up, etc. bathroom is great too. Cons- customer service at the front desk is basically non existent, I dont think I saw any of them smile once during my 5 night stay! There is no warm welcome or pleasant goodbye or even much eye contact or warmth when dealing with them. It’s as if you are an inconvenience. Housekeeping also left a lot to be desired, on our 2nd night I spilled some soda on the bed and this wasn’t changed until 3 nights later. Bed wasn’t made most days and we only got towels and loo roll every couple days it would seem. A very basic service which isn’t what you want when you are coming home tired from a day in the city. I was also under the impression you got a welcome drink, we didn’t get anything and when queried we were told this was only for members which seems contrary to what I’ve read elsewhere. Overall a good base for exploring NYC that is in a good location and reasonably priced but a few small changes would make a huge difference to the experience.

Overall, this was a mixed stay. The hotel room was clean and quiet, and the temperature controls worked well -- and those are really important! Great place to sleep! But the room was tiny, even for NYC: there was inadequate room for luggage and almost no way to maneuver around the bed (not that there was empty floor space to occupy). Oddly, the bathroom was large. After the first night, I asked to be moved to a larger room, but I was told that doing so would be possible only later in our stay -- and neither I nor the hotel followed up on that. We were provided with free breakfast (as Diamond members), but the food was not to our liking (overly greasy for my taste), and so, for the most part, we barely partook of that after the first breakfast of a multi-stay. A few other negatives: WiFi was weak; the lobby/restaurant are on the second floor (there didn't appear to be a way to enter the hotel apart from taking an elevator in a hallway off the street); ice is not available on every floor; and, front-desk staff, although basically fine, seemed unduly glued to their computer screens. Lastly, the $30 resort fee, which offered nothing that we believed to be of special value, is a real turn-off.

We returned having stayed in Dec 2024 for Jo’s 40th birthday. We loved it and felt like we were valued as guests. We returned having stayed in Dec 2024 for Jo’s 40th birthday. We loved it and felt like we were valued as guests. This year we did 4 days in Washington DC before taking the train to NYC for a further 4 days and we picked the Even Midtown again because we enjoyed it so much last time around. Whilst not much has changed we didn’t feel the same warm welcome. We were disappointed by the assistance from the front desk - especially regarding a late checkout. We asked on Day 1 and were told we would need to check the night before leaving. Then we were told we would need to ask on the morning of departure - and when I did that I was told the hotel was ‘fully booked’ but we could have an extra hour (absolutely no use whatsoever) but if I wanted I could pay for an extra night - err…. If you’re ’fully booked’ so you can’t give me until Noon/1pm how can you find me an extra night. Last time around they gave us a drink token for each night we had booked - this time around just 1 token each … we thought we would save it for our check out, have a drink when we returned to collect our bags - only when we arrived the guy at the bar said it was closed and didn’t open until 4pm, so that was that. Whilst the room was clean and no complaints about the amenities, and whilst it is ideally located for Midtown and all that it offers (especially proximity to Grand Central) - I don’t think we will be back.
