“Good hotel for a few days”

We had a nice family room (king size bed plus sofa bed) on the 7th floor. Beds were comfy, room was clean, good bathroom. We had a nice family room (king size bed plus sofa bed) on the 7th floor. Beds were comfy, room was clean, good bathroom. The free breakfast was good, not much fruit but plenty of bagels/muffins, and a few cereals and hot dishes such as eggs, pancakes or sausage patties. Plenty of choice of fruit juices, coffee, teas. My partner used the gym, it was small but fine for use over a couple of days. Only negatives of the hotel are the fishy smell (especially in the elevators) due to the Chinese supermarket next door and this sometimes permeates into the corridors. They have air fresheners installed to try to minimise the smell. The other issue is the constant train noise from the Manhattan bridge which is close by, we got used to it after the first night. The hotel is in Chinatown, not the best area but ok in the daytime and only a 5 min walk to the subway (East broadway). Also some good restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk, and Little Italy is around a 15 min walk. Overall a good value hotel to stay in for a few days.

“Fair hotel”

Had 7 nights at this hotel as part of a family vacation in July 2024. Hotel staff is very nice and proffesional. Rooms are clean ond of decent size (stayed 4 persons in a 2 queen room) Location of hotel (China Town) is far from most things on our agenda, and very few shops or restaurants nearby. One store and fishmarket in same building. Unfortunately the smell from there is dominating the surroundings. Breakfat in hotel is fair, but dining area is way to small and very hot, even in the morning. Subway is pretty close.

“They don't know how to manage credit card charges. Need new towels. Acoustic isolation very good”

At arrival I was charged in my credit card the total for the stay, as agreed, but the hotel attendent said that they did not received. At arrival I was charged in my credit card the total for the stay, as agreed, but the hotel attendent said that they did not received. And tried to charge repeatedly, which, for my luck, had already reached its limit. We stayed at the lobby for more than two hours, before they accepted us for that night, and that we could pay in the next day and solve the problem with the general manager which would arrive then. Only at the next day they accepted that there was an error while operating the credit card machine, and the counter attendent didn't check properly the values that were promptly received. For at least one night and one morning there was no hot water, and the water temperature was usually unstable too. The last day we received a towel washed so many times that was raged. And they also took a pet towel and did not return in time for my checkout. The room and the towes were clean, even when raged. The breakfast is very good, with variety. Although the train passing very near the acoustic isolation is really incredible. The neighborhood is not trustworthy, but it's not dangerous. Avoid walking around alone later at night. Great value for the price.
