I wanted to take a moment to just share about my experience at the Renaissance NY Harlem Hotel. First, when I entered the floor for checkin, I asked a representative where check-in was and they pointed me to the front desk. I asked the representative at the desk where do I check in, and immediately Tasha stated I could come around the counter and she would help me. I requested if there was a possibility for an early check in, Tasha stated she wasn’t sure, but she would be glad to check and see what was available. After a long flight, it was encouraging to be greeted with a smile and immediate assistance. Tasha went through the computer system and found a room that would be available. Also to mention, I had an original reservation for three days, but reserved another room to come a day early. I asked if she could make it so I just had one room and didn’t have to be stranded without a room in between the two reservations. Tasha continued in the system, acquired additional assistance from Daisa. They worked together and made my reservation fluid with one room, no change and before I could finish my conference call, she had the room ready for me. I just felt so taken care of, my experience is a 10! And in addition, I received a $25 voucher for dinner or breakfast. I will definitely book at this hotel again. The customer service here has been incredible!

“Great place”

Man this place is a beauty! The location of the hotel is in the heart of Harlem and easily accessible to public transportation. The front desk clerk Kalim Smith was extremely helpful and Knowledgeable at his job. I highly recommend!!!

Every time I visit, one word always comes to mind: consistency. Anyone who works in customer service knows there are both easy and challenging days, but the team here handles it all with a smile. Watching how they work proves they’re doing many things right. Check In Experience: Check-in takes place on the fifth floor, and when the elevator doors open, you’re greeted by the bar and restaurant area (more on that later). Look to the right and the front desk is right there. In my stays, there have always been at least two team members ready to attend the moment you arrive. In the morning, you’re welcomed with warm coffee or another hot drink. In the afternoon, expect cookies, hot chocolate in the winter, and fresh infused water. If your room isn’t ready, they’ll have the bell staff take your bags and escort you to a comfortable seating area. From there—just relax. They’ve got everything under control. Guest Rooms: The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The housekeeping staff clearly take pride in their work. Each housekeeper leaves a card with their name, so tipping becomes personal and easy. And if you can’t find them, simply leave the tip at the front desk and they’ll make sure it reaches the right person. Bar & Restaurant: If you enjoy a good happy hour, look no further. This is the spot for a strong, well-made cocktail and something delicious to hold you over before heading out for the evening. It’s also the perfect place for a nightcap when you return. I’ve never had a bad dish here. There are three bartenders I highly recommend (in no order): Kory, Gio, and Zack. They’re all knowledgeable about the spirits they pour, the menu, and Harlem itself. You’ll be in great hands with any of them. Exceptional Service: A special shoutout goes to Tasha and her team (she knows who they are!). She recognized me without even seeing me—just from my room number. That level of attention made me realize how much they value their guests. From that moment on, I knew this hotel would always be my go to whenever I travel here. Final Thoughts The value you receive here is worth every penny.
