The location was perfect for us and the amenities were great! The laundry facility on-site was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. The laundry room was clean with lots of machines; I never had to wait. There was a moldy smell to the washers but the clothes came out smelling clean. The machines run on an app payment - not tap and go/credit card. Be prepared to download an app which is a bit challenging to set up but very useful once loaded. The gym is fully equipped and probably the best gym I have seen at a Marriott location. Very clean with lots of cardio equipped and a good amount weight machines and free weights. There were a few bee hives located on the deck outside of the gym which was unique. The daily breakfast was good with lots of variety and the menu changed daily. The dining area is large and we never had to wait for a table. There is a bar adjacent to the breakfast area that opens later that serves drinks and food. The lobby is smallish and can be busy as it is used for both the Residence Inn and the Courtyard By Marriott. Both Marriott brands utilize the same location/amenities however I never felt it was crowded. There were only a few time that we had a long wait for the elevator. The room layout, size and set up were good. The kitchen area is not a fully functional kitchen. We only used the refrigerator but there was a hot plate, dishwasher and coffee machine. If you are lucky enough to get an upper floor room the views are great of Manhattan and Central park. Be aware that any room that backs to the elevator will sound like the a subway station all hours of the day. We had a room by the elevator and were able to tune it out and sleep through it. Our room also smelled like weed/cigarettes for most of our 11 day stay. The smell either went away or we just got used to it. We probably could have complained and gotten a new room but never bothered. I would definitely book this hotel again based on location and amenities.

Location of the hotel is great. It is very beneficial to have a laundry room at the hotel and kitchen in your room if you plan to stay for a long time (more than a week). Both the breakfast buffet and the team working there are great. They are friendly and pay attention to detail for customer satisfaction. Unfortunately I can’t say the same thing for the rest of the team. The dishwasher in our room has not worked since the day we checked in. We reported the issue immediately, and maintenance advised that the unit could not be repaired and that a replacement had been ordered. However, this situation was never disclosed at check-in, and no effective solution has been provided. We asked to change rooms but were told none were available. Although we have repeatedly raised the issue with both the front desk and housekeeping, no one has been able to offer a practical resolution. This is very disappointing, especially when we specifically selected this hotel because of the kitchen amenities. Very important: The elevator is extremely noisy. It is very difficult to sleep in a room next to elevator. If you are a light sleeper, you can definitely not sleep. As a result: If everything in your room works, İf it is far away from the elevator hotel is good. Otherwise, if there is a problem with your room, I am sorry for you. Don’t expect it to be solved.

“Not a great experience”

We stayed for 8 nights. The hotel has an amazing breakfast and is close to Times Square and lots of attractions. I dropped something on the floor in the bedroom and found an empty small bottle from a previous occupant..I left it to see if it would be thrown out ..it wasnt in all the time we stayed… more

We stayed for 8 nights. The hotel has an amazing breakfast and is close to Times Square and lots of attractions. I dropped something on the floor in the bedroom and found an empty small bottle from a previous occupant..I left it to see if it would be thrown out ..it wasnt in all the time we stayed there. Room wasnt the cleanest. The manager agreed to a special request and didnt follow through. Very very disappointing.
