I stayed at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel for one night in December 2025, between arriving into New York City by train and departing by plane out of JFK. This hotel was chosen as a consequence of high pricing of hotels in Manhattan and near to JFK, along with the time of year, plus location to easy public transportation. I chose a twin room on the club level. Check in was easy, albeit we had a very early arrival so the room was not ready at the time which is completely understandable. The reception team held our bags for us so we could go out and about for the day. Upon arrival back to the hotel in the afternoon, I was given a key for a room on the club level floor 16. The room was clean, comfortable, and featured a view of the surrounding area. There were power points beside each bed, located in the bed side table itself. The bathroom featured a shower/tub combination and plenty of bench space for two people. The Club Lounge was located almost adjacent to our room, and featured snacks, soft drinks, and juices. The morning breakfast was simple but filling, with hot and cold food options available. There is a small area downstairs in the lobby which features a casual bar/restaurant. Staff all round were very friendly and accommodating. Getting to and from the hotel is fairly easy. Myself and my traveling partner arrived by Amtrak from Philadelphia. We opted to take the LIRR service to Flushing Main Street from Penn Station due to the ease of access with large luggage (turnstiles and stairs on the Subway network can be an impediment with large bags). Flushing Main Street is approx. 2 blocks from the hotel. The subway station is slightly closer, and features the 7 train to 34 St-Hudson Yards, which is a great way to get into Manhattan (sans luggage). There is an entrance to the subway on the same block as the hotel, so it is only a ~2min walk around the corner. A shuttle service runs between the hotel and LGA. You can also get to JFK from here, it takes about an hour and there is a choice of bus, subway (with changes), or LIRR (with changes) to get you to Jamaica and then onto the Air Train. The area surrounding the hotel can get quite busy, given the markets/shops on the street plus it is close to the subway terminus. There are a number of places to eat surrounding the hotel, as well as a convenience store/pharmacy within a 2 minute walk too. The area is one station away from Citifield, and if you wanted to go for a stroll the hotel is nearby to Flushing Meadows Corona Park which was the home of the 1964 World's Fair. All round it was an enjoyable stay at this hotel.

“Location location! Nice hotel with good service”

Awesome location right next to the 7 line. Restaurants, food styles, massages, shops galore within steps. Services good and restaurant has decent food with really good prices considering it's a hotel. The actual building is a little dated but it's clean and a little remodeled here and there. F… more

Awesome location right next to the 7 line. Restaurants, food styles, massages, shops galore within steps. Services good and restaurant has decent food with really good prices considering it's a hotel. The actual building is a little dated but it's clean and a little remodeled here and there. For New York standards the rooms are roomy. I would come back just for the location within itself.

My stay started with the shuttle pick up. Airport pick up is on demand, and I really appreciated that as soon as I had my luggage and called the shuttle line, they immediately sent the driver to come get me from LGA even though I was the only guest needing a pick up at the time (after 3pm). It's a 20 minute journey. The hotel is in a very busy area with plenty Asian restaurants and supermarkets. As a Titanium member I had access to the club lounge. It's open 24/7 with light snacks and drinks. Breakfast was minimal, but from 5:30pm to 8:30pm they have a variety of evening bites, including two hot dishes, crackers, fruit, etc. But, they don't have any alcoholic beverages. I was happy they honored my request for a very quiet room away from the elevator, and put me in a corner room. The gym wasn't as well equipped as most Sheratons and Marriotts. I would probably stay here again for future overnight layovers. The on demand shuttle was great, and there's much more to do in this hotel's area than the LGA Marriott which has nothing nearby.

I haven’t stayed at a Sheraton since it got absorbed by Marriott. All of my stays are at Hilton now. However, I have used this hotel for airport parking (SpotHero) and it has been so quick and efficient that I decided to stay here as well for an early morning flight. I’m happy I did. The room is appointed with power and usb outlets near the bed, Starbucks coffee pods, a complimentary bottle of water, and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well. I tried the hotel restaurant for dinner and my meal was well portioned and tasty. I walked around the neighborhood briefly and it’s close to a cinema, several dessert bars and a variety of Asian restaurants. I’ve used the airport shuttle several times, including on this stay, and never had a problem. It runs every 45 minutes from the hotel. Pick up is on demand from 430-10:30. Everyone at the hotel was uniformly friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my brief stay!
