We love staying here, the atmosphere is so relaxing in the hotel and the spa. The views from the rooms are beautiful and peaceful, my wife loved to just sit by the window and read while i was golfing. The course is in great condition and the onsite restaurants allow you not to even have to leave the resort. Very easy check-in and checkout. Staff everywhere that is very helpful.

I think the Grove Park Inn is beautiful! The staff was incredible. I understand how the rooms may leave something to be desired in the original area- but this goes beyond my level of understanding Staying in the original area… I knew the room would be smaller - however I never imagined that to use the toilet I would have to bend down and hold onto something because of the slope with the roof. If you are man, you would never be able to use it. I had unpacked my clothes before I went in the bathroom and discovered the challenge. This is a room that should not be rented out- or if it is with a disclosure about the bathroom

Hey guys want to leave an honest interview I think it’s important when you spend time, money and you are really needing this experience… Grove Park Inn is no longer the Grove Park Inn. I’ve been going there for a decade. My family has been going there as well. Perhaps it was being purchased by the Omni that changed it. There are wonderful aspects. I never like to give bad reviews because of course so many people showed up amazingly but when you go to #3 spa/resort in the country and you’re eating dinner and this happened twice, your server lays down check and lets you know their shift has ended and you are not remotely the last person in restaurant, that is something I wouldn’t expect even in a restaurant locally. Tacky. Main issues were not with the hotel. Most of those things were absolutely wonderful time. Our massages and treatments in the spa were wonderful. The main disconnect is the Spa blames the hotel, the hotel blames the Spa for confusion and have no way to resolve situations. When I was checking out three charges that made no sense especially one service that never took place FROM THE SPA, And then 4 days of peace and rejuvenation became a stressful, disaster. the two do not have any set up to communicate and resolve issues together, which is a nightmare. the other issue, which I’ve repeatedly read on Reddit as well even before I went there’s a GRIFTER-like constant of surcharges that are not explained, OVERLY complicated and when you get your final bill, of course not what you’ve added to your room, but it’s so hard to decipher, and it seems to the point where it’s intentionally confusing. for example, paraphrasng here, but on their front desk, there is a sign that blatantly states “ if you experience overdraft charges in your bank account due to Omni surcharges that is not the responsibility of the Omni or Grove Park Inn.” Also, 90% of the younger staff has not grasped or care what the Grove Park Inn has always been famous for: Deep Customer Service to the point where a client feels no responsibility and simple peace while on their vacation. I’m in my 40s, laid back. But again I’ve been there multiple times my mother goes almost every other year with her friends it just to the point where my friend and I were so stressed that last hour of checkout that we both agree it ruined good bit of our vacation Last point I feel important to share with the public is due to charges of services not even received the Spa was supposed to call me to resolve within an hour of check out (which of course I had to pay all of them before I could leave, so at least I would be in passage seat still heading home and could resolve before I am at my own home. They did not contact me till 7 hours later at home and I couldn’t believe that I still had to deal with this. It’s not about the money. one incorrect charge was $100. But after spending $5000+ for 2 quests. to me that’s just bad business practices, especially when working with someone to return guest. I had $1000 of overcharges that I did not understand and did not want to go over at that time either so just had to pay them because they could not resolve them with the Spa so I could not leave so I just paid. checking out of a resort…that is not how that should go. EVER. what would’ve been an amazing experience yet again at the Grove Park ended with extreme anxiety from the staff fighting with the Spa me stuck in the middle, having to get out a separate credit card so we could just simply leave on time with nothing resolved I will not be going back and this is my 7th time which breaks my heart. I don’t go to vacation to be overwhelmed. So how I ended this situation, let it go and just pay the overcharges honestly to stop the stress. Additionally they were not going to refund me anything so this is why I felt the need to say to them directly: My statement after trying to get this person to explain the extra incorrect charges. “ If you knew at the beginning of this call that you were not going to refund me, instead of wasting more of my time, wish you had simply let me know upfront, keep my money, not anymore if time. BUT, what I should have heard from YOU instead: “We are so sorry, Ms.——that this was part of your experience at The Grove Park and the end of your visit with us. The 2 spa charges have been removed. - I have a few suggestions here that I can offer to make your next day what this one should have been. ( a free Massage, vouchers anything to maintain a well established quest. It’s just bad business as well), Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again soon.” Then I said goodbye and hung up. in the end, I chose to simply remember what I loved about my experience (again their spa services amenities are always amazing) instead of search negativity drug out beyond. THE GROVE PARK is no longer what THE GROVE PARK-BECAME FAMOUS FOR. Thanks for the share.
