“Fabulous Hotel!”

Cannot fault this hotel, reception team, fantastic. Room, comfortable, cosy, immaculately clean, lovely balcony with great view, close to all amenities including Smoky Mountains National Park. Good parking, and free WiFi. Thoroughly recommend 👌

“Great stay during fall bike rally”

Older hotel but great location and the staff were absolutely fantastic. Shauna was very helpful getting us checked in and helped make out staff great. If you need a clean room and comfy bed for a few days this place should be on your list of places to stay.

Good location, clean beds, and rooms in reasonable shape. No pets is a plus with this hotel. We stayed here because our first choice next door at the Best Western was sold out. Good location, clean beds, and rooms in reasonable shape. No pets is a plus with this hotel. We stayed here because our first choice next door at the Best Western was sold out. We checked in slightly early with no issues. The mini refrigerator didn’t work but the maintenance staff arrived within 15 minutes and replaced it. We had reservations for 2 nights and no extra roll of toilet paper other than one on roller and facial tissues (Kleenex) had 1 left. Housekeeping staff provided what we needed during daytime hours upon request. The elevator was out of order which would be a major inconvenience except we were on first of two floors. Many hotels in area have outside entry doors into room but this is an interior entry hotel so you enter lobby then go to room. Indoor pool appeared clean. Hot tub needs some upgrades as it is small with old tiles. Breakfast very basic and toaster did not work. Will not stay here again as management appears to be lapsed or unconcerned with offering quality especially with elevator out of order. Staff did a good job and friendly but poor management. Best Western next door our usual choice had on-site management on top of things even though they don’t usually have early check-in and allow pets. We are still searching for our best Maggie Valley layover stay, especially when I-40 closed.

The outside is very deceiving. Looks great outside, inside not so much. The room doors are cheap and not very solid. The A/C was nice and cold. It was too bad the smoking area was in the front of the building right outside of the front rooms. And I know, the air used by the A/C system does not pull air from outside the room to cool the room down, but I was smelling cigarette smoke in our room coming in through the A/C from the smoking area. I wear a CPAP machine and was subjected to concentrated cigarette smoke at 06:40 AM Wednesday morning. Putting a smoking area outside the windows of your building is ludicrous! At least this room was clean! The bathroom is tiny! The tub stopper is missing so no kids could bathe in that tub. There are ZERO shelves in the shower. The light switches are the auto turn on type and do not work properly. The shower tile make’s the small bathroom feel smaller. The sink counter top is a size you would use in a small 1/2 bathroom, not the main and only bathroom. What is the point of a 2 hour late checkout if you get disturbed EVERY single place you stay by the housekeeper but 15 minutes before the normal check out time, which has been @10:45! The walls of this place are hollow and not insulated. The guy staying next door to us for 2 nights snored loud enough to be heard in our room! The room darkening curtains are full of holes from age! The pool and hot tub which are in their own “building” are only open from 10-10? The part I liked the best was the desk clerk breathing her cigarette infested breath my way at check-in! Can you say disgusting!
