“Would stay again”

Room perfectly adequate. A little run down. No USB ports to be found. But hotel was almost empty and they put us directly between the elevators and the ice machine - which turned out not to be a problem since the hotel wasn’t packed….but still….why? Would stay again.

Room: I stayed in Room 424 and found it to be clean, updated, and well-maintained. The door had both a deadbolt and a U-bolt for added security. Everything in the room worked as expected, and the bed was comfortable with fresh linens. My only concern was the bathroom vent—it was quite dusty and definitely due for a cleaning. Lobby & Breakfast Area: The lobby and breakfast area could benefit from a bit more attention when it comes to cleanliness. The breakfast offerings were minimal; oranges were the only fruit available, and it would’ve been nice to have a bit more variety like bananas or apples. When I stopped by around 6:45 AM, the eggs were already cold, and there weren’t any napkins set out. Location: The location is one of the hotel’s strongest features. There’s a gas station directly across the street and multiple fast food options within easy walking distance—Hardee’s, Taco John’s, and Subway, to name a few. Parking was easy and accessible. Although there are a number of hotels in the area, this one stands out. I even had a view of the state capitol building from my room, which was a nice bonus.

Place was pretty clean. Warning if you travel with a dog. They charge $25 per night for a dog. I’m used to one nights charge. They say the charge up to three night in a row. The charge is related to extra cleaning. However, due to being charged twice, my husband requested our room to be cleaned in the morning of our second day. We stayed two nights. No one cleaned the room on our second day. One other thing if you’re a reader and you read their website, it says that they have a managers reception Monday through Thursday in the evening with free wine and hors d’oeuvres. When I inquired the manager told me they haven’t done that in a long time. Breakfast did include the standard eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt and cereal. It is served from 06-09 every am.

“Going to seed?”

Inattention by management evident. Pool has been shut down for six weeks. One ice machine does work, though. Paying $200+ for a night.
