Wonderful! Far exceeded my expectations! Over the past 50 years I've been to mostof the beach places from NY down to Florida, but amazingly, never to Ocean City. My impression was that it was too loud, touristy, cheesy. I was wrong! And right! My wife and I stayed at the Days Inn by Wyndham, Oceanfront, in Ocean City. On 23rd Street. This hotel, I learned, is at the northern end of the 3 mile long Ocean City Boardwalk. At the northern end, the boardwalk businesses are fewer and further betwen - but still enough to satiate anyone's need for beach toys, bathing suits, towels and beer. The foot traffic on the boardwalk is about 1/10 of what it is at the southern end. I have attached several pix to this review. One of them is looking north from the southern end of the boardwalk, and you can see the crowds of people and the carnival atmosphere down there, (Not knocking it, just pointing it out.). Another pic is looking north from the boardwalk , with the Days Inn Hotel in view. Much less crowded, but still with some boardwalk businesses. The beach sand is literally 50 feet from the hotel. The parking is plentiful, and the spaces are large enough to accommodate most SUVs. There is one parking lot just steps from the entrance, with about 60 spaces. The "overflow" parking, with more than enough room, is about 100 yards away. No issues with parking. The pool was clean, relatively large considering the size of the hotel, and with food/beverage service right there. The desk staff was very helpful and friendly. During my short stay I reived three text messages asking how it was going, and did I need anythng. The room was large, with two queen beds, good TV, refrigerator, microwave, and a very efficient AC unit. Balcony overlooking the boardwalk offered great people-watching opportunity. There is a restaurant, The Anchor, on the premises. Had breakfast there, and it was great! Very friendly, family feel, and the food was great. Pix attached. One problem was that the deadbolt lock on the door could not be engaged - some kind of misalignment of the bolt with the recess it is intended to enter. I reported this, and was assured it would be fixed ASAP. Of the beachfront hotels I've stayed at over the years, I'd say this was the best. I highly recommend it. John Quinn Springfield VA
