You get what you pay for—this is a good mid-priced hotel. The room was a bit smaller than I prefer, but both the room and bathroom were spotless. The beds were comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure with a nice showerhead. One drawback was the lack of a closet; I had to hang some clothes on hooks, and with two suitcases there was really only space to leave one open. The hotel provides a continental breakfast. The coffee was good, and while the food choices were basic, I appreciated the oatmeal and fruit. Overall, I’d stay here again for a night or two.

“Exceeded Expectations”

This was a wonderful stay from check in to check out. We were met with a smile and exceptional service. Everything was clean and organized. This was a wonderful stay from check in to check out. We were met with a smile and exceptional service. Everything was clean and organized. You can tell the staff takes pride in providing great customer service. John Paul was the best as he helped with anything we needed (ink pen, toothbrush, etc). The gym is small but good for those to do not wish to skip a workout on their travels. They offer coffee 24 hours a day in the lobby, ice buckets and ice machine close to the front desk, and a water fountain that you can fill water bottles. Breakfast was served with an array of items that included oatmeal, cereal, small pastries, yogurt, eggs, cooked bacon pieces, potates, English muffins and bagels and bread to toast, apple and orange juice. Our room was small, did not provide much storage space. There are no closets or drawers. In exchange, IHG has added hooks and a cubby space for your clothing and shoes. However, we loved it. My husband and I were weekend trip and didn't need much more than a comfortable bed and TV. So, the king room worked perfectly for our needs. The room has an ironing board and iron, a blow dryer, NO CARPET, Dove bath products, and a mini fridge. I did notice some wear and tear on the room with chipping paint and a few other cosmetic things that did not effect my stay. I saw they offer 24/7 Airport shuttle service (we did observe the Avid shuttle van as it facilitated shuttle service to other guests). If are looking for a budget friendly hotel, great customer service, that is clean. Then Avid Oklahoma City Airport is your place.

This was my first stay at an "avid hotel". I guess I am a little confused as to why IHG created yet another unnecessary new hotel brand; based on my experience here, it's pretty much a Holiday Inn Express (another IHG brand) under a different banner and without the cinnamon rolls. With that said, the stay here was a positive experience. A sign in the lobby indicates it opened in June 2019, and it still seems new and fresh five years later. Check-in was fast and efficient. The room and all public areas seemed clean and well-maintained. No issue with TV, wireless, etc. Parking is plentiful, easy-in, easy-out. The environment is quiet. The complimentary breakfast was nothing great, but it was fine. There were hot Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, familiar brands of cold cereal, granola bars, instant oatmeal packets, hard boiled eggs, and apples and oranges. The fitness center was what you would normally expect for mid-tier lodging. However, for those who like to keep up their fitness regimen while traveling, I might recommend, weather permitting, a run on the paved trail along the Oklahoma River. The trail's west endpoint begins about a quarter mile east of the hotel, on the other side of Meridian Avenue. I enjoyed a nice 5.5 mile (8.8 km) run east to the May Avenue bridge, then crossed the river to the north side and ran on the trail on the north side of the river back to the Portland Ave bridge, then crossed back to the south side of the river and then back to the hotel. My only complaint about the hotel was that the bed seemed a little too soft and the pillows a little too thick and bulky.

This was a surprise. It must be the modern style, but it was not what we were expecting. Had zero frills. a basic, but clean and simplistic hotel. It was just a place to sleep before the flight home. I guess this is a new concept with IHG, but it is certainly different. It was clean and modern and close to the airport. The room is very small, the lobby and rooms are very minimalistic. I understand they have an airport shuttle. I did not care for the simple, contintental breakfast.
