Clean safe and convenient location to lots of restaurants and easy drive into Portland. Front desk staff was all very friendly and helpful. I slept great with comfortable bed and shades that actually block light! My only meh experience was breakfast. It’s about $15-20 plate which I wouldn’t pay for it. It’s bland. Hilton members get a food credit which makes it more reasonable but then you realize (when you read the menu) you only get credit on a Belgian waffle or a yogurt bowl. So even if you get that food credit, go somewhere else for breakfast.

“Not what I expected…”

We recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and overall had an okay experience. It wasn’t quite what I expected from a Hilton, but there were definitely some positives. The location is really convenient — close to the freeway, shopping, restaurants, and even an Elmer’s nearby for a good breakfast. Parking is a nice size, although it can get pretty busy at times. The outside of the hotel looks a little older, but the rooms themselves were spacious and very comfortable. It can be a bit noisy outside because of the nearby 24-hour gym, but thankfully you can barely hear it once you’re inside your room if you’re on the right side of the hotel. We did have an ant problem at first, although it eventually got better. For the price and Hilton name, I do think the rooms could be cleaner overall. I’d also skip the guest laundry machines — they weren’t very good. Most of the housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. The front desk experience unfortunately wasn’t the best. We had a few issues with incorrect charges on our card, and communication felt a little unorganized at times. The breakfast is also very overpriced for the quality, especially the buffet. Dinner options were decent, though again there were some charging issues. One big highlight was the bartender — he was amazing and made the atmosphere feel welcoming and comfortable. Also, while the little hotel store is pricey, there’s a convenience store nearby which helps. Overall, the location and comfortable rooms were the best parts of the stay.

All of the employees at the hotel were wonderful, from front desk staff, to the kitchen and dining staff, and especially housekeeping. All of the employees at the hotel were wonderful, from front desk staff, to the kitchen and dining staff, and especially housekeeping. The building, and the owners choice to let it fall into disrepair, was frustrating. Broken shower fixtures, water coming through ceiling lights, broken curtain pulls, corroded toilet seats, broken window safety stops. On top of all the noise coming through single pane glass, we would choose a different place. The professional and courteous staff do their absolute best, but the physical building is not worth the Hilton name.
