The staff is very friendly and very helpful. If you are flying to Philly, take the SEPTA to the hotel. Much cheaper than Uber or a cab. Wished we had known than coming into Philly.

Our family of four stayed for one night in mid July. We chose this hotel primarily for its excellent downtown location, which put us within easy walking distance of the places we wanted to visit. Overall, this is a very standard Hilton Garden Inn with minimal features, essentially a front desk and a room, but it met our basic needs for a short stay. ***Location & Parking*** The location is the hotel’s strongest asset. It sits right in Center City, steps from Reading Terminal Market and close to most major attractions. The area is busy and congested, so if you are driving, expect to circle a bit before finding a spot to temporarily stop for check in on N 11th Street. The parking garage entrance is on Arch Street, and because both streets are one way, the process can feel a little confusing. Parking is located within the same building (roughly floors 2-5) but is operated independently by Metropolis. The garage has its own elevator and a small separate lobby. After parking, you must scan the posted QR code to set up your parking session. Rates are hourly, capped at $40 (plus fees) per 24 hours, and there is no in and out privilege, you are being charged at the time your vehicle exit the garage. The hotel does not manage or bill for parking, everything is handled directly by Metropolis. ***Facility & Room*** The building was constructed in 2000 and has undergone several renovations, most recently around 2020. It does not feel very old, but nothing about the property stands out either. Everything functioned as expected. Our room was a typical Hilton Garden Inn layout with limited extra space. For a family of four, seating was tight, one desk chair and one small sofa meant someone was always sitting on the bed. The beds appeared to have metal frames, which made some noise, but they were comfortable overall. The bathroom was clean and consistent with Hilton standards. One notable issue was the window style air conditioning unit. It was loud and seemed older, likely original to the building. Light sleepers may find it disruptive. ***Staff & Service*** This hotel offers very few amenities beyond the front desk. We had minimal interaction with staff aside from check in and check out, and service was fine for what we needed. We didn’t encounter housekeeping or other staff during our stay, likely because the hotel doesn’t offer many additional services. There is a restaurant on the rooftop level of the building, but we didn’t use it since there are plenty of dining options nearby. ***Overall*** The hotel met our basic expectations for a one night stay. It’s a simple, no frills property in a great location. If you are looking for convenience and just need a place to sleep, it works. If you want amenities, upgraded features, or a more full service experience, this may not be the best fit. We might stay again if the location is the priority, but nothing about the stay was particularly memorable.
