We truly enjoyed our stay and had such a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, beautifully organized, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout the property that made our stay especially enjoyable. I really appreciated the little details, such as having floats available at the pool and rackets and balls ready to use at the tennis court. These thoughtful touches made it easy to enjoy the facilities without having to ask for anything. The staff were also exceptionally kind, friendly, and helpful. What I appreciated most was how attentive they were while still being respectful of our privacy. Whenever they came to assist us, they were professional and considerate, and we never felt like our personal space was being interrupted. One thing I personally loved was the relaxed atmosphere around the pool. Because it wasn’t connected to a bar or restaurant with servers frequently coming by, I could simply sit by the pool and enjoy the peaceful surroundings at my own pace. While poolside service can certainly be a nice amenity, sometimes it can also feel disruptive when you’re trying to completely unwind. Here, I really appreciated having the freedom to relax without being interrupted. The only small issue I noticed was that the floor in our room was a little dusty. I’m Japanese and typically take my shoes off at home, so I noticed it when walking around barefoot and found that my feet got a little dirty. This was a very minor issue, though, and honestly the only thing I would change about our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful time and truly appreciated the thoughtful hospitality, peaceful atmosphere, and kindness of the staff. We’re already talking about coming back soon, which I think says a lot about how much we enjoyed our stay!

“Perfect 2 Bed / 2 Bath Units”

Units are a little dated, but they are comfortable and located within a few minutes walk, bike ride or trolley of most all restaurants and venues. Located on the water with water access if bringing a boat or jet ski! Some but not all units have water view.

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Beach Resort - Soundside (June 13-20, 2026). We secured the unit through RCI in July 2025I (54,000 points). The unit was very clean and positioned perfectly for walking to the Sound and Gulf beaches along with numerous restaurants. The king bed in the primary bedroom was very comfortable and the 2 twin beds in the second bedroom was also comfortable (all rooms had ceiling fans). The furniture in the living room was dated and not very comfortable, but we did not spend a lot of time in the unit. The screened balcony with 2 tables and 4 chairs along with a ceiling fan was very nice. The kitchen and dining room area was spacious and fully met our needs. The washing machine and dryer in the unit was convenient but a bit noisy. The AC was very effective but also a bit loud. We were on the top floor which required a 28-step climb; my only concern there was the lighting over the topflight of steps was wholly inadequate, so extra care needed to be taken at night. The parking was under cover (for 2 cars in the same party) if you arrived first but otherwise there was plenty of other parking at the unit. The pool was nice and heated (maybe a bit too much) and the hot tub was good. A fishing pier was on-site although we did not fish. We also did not play tennis or pickleball, but the court looked good. There were 3 stainless steel gas grills. The local restaurants with a view of the Santa Rosa Sound and the Little Sabine Bay were good. Our favorite was Flounder's (their chowder was great) but Red Fish Blue Fish, Shaggy's, and Paradise Grill and Bar (adjacent to the unit) were also good. Other good restaurants within easy walking distance but without a water view included the Shrimp Basket, Native Cafe (breakfast), and several ice cream parlors. The UFO minigolf was fun, too. We had a great time parasailing with Radical Rides (about a mile or so away); their jet skis looked fun but we didn't have the time. The sea grass on the Gulf side was definitely an issue but it varies per day and month and the beach at the resort had a stone embankment between the sand and water (there were steps off the pier into the water or there were other nearby areas where the beach did not have those rocks). We went through the maybe half-mile boardwalk in the Naval Live Oaks area. It provided an excellent feel for the local coastal forest although there were many webs with large Joro spiders hanging head high across the boardwalk trail that needed to be dodged (lol). Fort Pickens was worth the time to view as well as the Pensacola lighthouse (177 steps to the top) and the free Naval Air Museum. I would recommend purchasing the America the Beautiful Pass (gets you into ALL national parks) especially if or someone in your party is 62 years old or older (where a lifetime pass is $80). All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort to anyone.

If you get this location for a good price, it will be well worth it and will provide great accommodations for a nice vacation. I own here, so my experience wont be like others.
