⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at the Carriage Way Bed & Breakfast Inn was absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The inn is intimate, charming, and filled with thoughtful little touches that make your stay feel comfortable, relaxing, and special. A heartfelt thank you to Lisa, the manager, who was truly exceptional. She was warm, accommodating, attentive, and always willing to help. Her genuine hospitality and dedication to her guests made a lasting impression on us and added so much to our overall experience. One of the things we loved most about this inn is that it feels like stepping into history. The property is rich with character and stories from the past, offering an experience that simply cannot be replicated in a modern hotel. Because it is a historic home, it’s important for guests to understand that preserving its authenticity comes with certain limitations. If something appears older or needs attention, remember that many repairs and updates require city approval to maintain the historical integrity of the property. Lisa does an incredible job balancing preservation with guest comfort, and that deserves appreciation. Another highlight that should not be missed is the breakfast. The home-style breakfast was absolutely delicious—fresh, comforting, and clearly prepared with care. It was one of our favorite parts of the stay and the perfect way to start each morning. Make sure you don’t sleep in and miss it! We encourage future guests to embrace the charm, history, and unique character of this beautiful inn. Focus on the many wonderful things it has to offer: the welcoming atmosphere, outstanding hospitality, delicious breakfast, convenient location, and the feeling of being transported back to another era. “Perfect long weekend”

It was our first time staying here. We loved it so much we're going to make it an annual tradition. So close to all the attractions but far away enough from all the tourists on St. George. Located on a beautiful quiet street that has numerous bed and breakfast inns. Rooms were beautifully decorated with a nice walk in shower and the bed was super comfortable. We stayed in the Garnet on the corner of the second floor near the street. We did not have any issues with too much noise other than a few passersby speaking loudly as they walked past the inn. No big deal. The inn offers all the amenities you can think of - bottled water, soda, wine, even Sherry and a glass canister in the room. Breakfast was beyond wonderful. We regretfully overslept the first two nights but indulged on the morning of our departure Fluffy souffle egg bake with artichokes and a creamy basil thyme sauce, crispy kielbasa, granola yogurt parfait with fresh fruit and drizzle and a delicious blueberry scone. Amazing and thoughtful. We loved everything about our stay. The self parking lot behind the inn was spacious and was included in the price. Location cannot be beat. Service was beyond gracious. We can't say enough and can't wait to come back.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt this experience warranted honest feedback. My husband and I booked the Amethyst Room for our anniversary based on the photos and descriptions provided online. Unfortunately, the property did not fully meet the expectations those images created. As Florida residents, we understand the recent cold weather likely impacted landscaping and outdoor upkeep. However, the courtyard and exterior areas appeared noticeably more worn and less maintained than what is currently advertised online. Updating the photos or refreshing the outdoor spaces would help future guests have a more accurate understanding of the property’s current condition. There were certainly positive aspects to our stay. The location was excellent, the included parking was convenient, and every staff member we encountered was kind and welcoming. That said, at approximately $375 per night, we anticipated a higher level of overall quality in the accommodations, amenities, and breakfast experience. While the room itself was comfortable enough, it lacked the charm, attention to detail, and elevated feel we expected at this price point. Breakfast was also disappointing; we only chose to participate one of the two mornings because the selection felt quite basic. In a destination like St. Augustine, we expected a more memorable and refined hospitality experience. The toiletries also felt below the standard we anticipated for a property in this category. The shampoo and body wash were small sample sized bottles that did not feel particularly premium or thoughtfully curated. Additionally, we experienced an issue with the tub jets during our first night. The jets repeatedly turned on by themselves, and we had to troubleshoot the wall switches multiple times to stop them, which became frustrating and disruptive. Overall, it felt as though the premium pricing was driven primarily by the location rather than the full guest experience. We have stayed at similarly priced bed and breakfast properties in Savannah and found the room quality, amenities, and dining experience there to be significantly more impressive. I genuinely wanted to love this property and had hoped it might become an annual anniversary destination for us, which makes this disappointment even more unfortunate. I share this feedback constructively because I do believe the property has strong potential with a few thoughtful improvements.

Not the cleanest B&B. The bed was comfy but the pillows and bedding left something to be desired. We stayed on the first floor and it was noisy. Both inside and outside noises were easily heard.
