We went for my nephew’s BMT graduation. We ended up taking a red eye and arrived at 8am. I called the hotel to check about an early check in. The person in the phone was polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. After phone calls back and forth they agreed to work with our party of 9 and allow early check in. Our group missed our connection flight and arrived throughout the day. They even laughed with us about this mishap. Our rooms were clean , stocked, and very comfortable. We visited with my nephew and the rooms were big enough to allow 11 people to sit and visit comfortably. The staff checked on us throughout our stay to see what they could do to make our stay enjoyable. We felt like they were friends hosting us not just a hotel. I highly encourage you to stay here. If you are visiting for Air Force BMT it is close to the main gate and the staff is knowledgeable about the events.

“Stay close, Visit more time, short vist times”

Enjoyed close to base, less travel time, more family time, hotel is not brand new, but nice and updated, no issues. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, Make sure get your soldier back early, gate is backed up long way last hour of Town Pass, nice place, close.

We were attending my son's AF Boot Camp Graduation, and I seleccted the Comfort Inn as I am a member. I made reservations about two weeks in advance for two rooms. One was for wife and I (king bed), and the other for his adult sister and her friend (two queen beds). I requested first floor, close to an exit door, rooms as close together as possible, and close to the pool. When we arrived all of the conditions I requested were met. We even had adjacent rooms with lockable doors in between the rooms. Overall, these were my findings: -The rooms were clean, fresh, and smelled good. The bedsheets were cleaned and fresh. The light fixtures and outlets all worked, as well as the sink, shower, toilet etc. -The outside pool and hot tub were the perfect temperature. They were located in a courtyard, so the only time you couldn't find a shady spot was at high noon. -The lobby was welcoming and had a picture location set up for AF Graduates to take pictures with their family. -The front staff were great. The hotel owner’s property manager representative was in the lobby for the two graduation days. Her front desk staff were well trained, efficient, and quick. Each staff member knew the graduation day plan and had tips. They even opened breakfast an hour early on every Tuesday morning so we could have a breakfast, or grab a to-go lunch/breakfast bag. -Here is a tip we learned to avoid the very long lines going in the front gate. Search Google maps for "Growden Commercial gate, Lackland AFB" or similar. Or, you can use the link in the Facebook page, but select the option that has Growden Gate. The gate is only open from 6 AM to 1 PM. The gate guards are friendly. On Tuesday you can follow the "This way to graduation signs", which are identical to the Google Map route. You'll probably park in Parking Lot 3, and walk about 15 minutes to the Paade Ground. Limited signs on Wednesday, so practice finding parking before you leave base on Tuesday… There is plenty of seating at the parade grounds. Try to get a seat when the sun is at your back. We didn't and realized we should have about when the ceremony started.... -Back to the hotel: The graduation ceremony happens 50 of 52 weeks through the year. The hotel is ready for that, and the influx of guests. -The hotel is very close to the base, the minor league baseball game, and about 15 minutes from the Riverwalk, Alamo, and some art museums. I recommend you give this hotel a try, you will be happy.

I stayed the last week of May for my son’s BMT graduation. The location to the gate was under 10 minutes. 20 minutes to downtown. The room was clean and the property overall was in good condition. The staff was helpful and courteous. They have a poster board for each graduating class for us family members to sign. I would recommend staying if you are going to Lackland for a graduation.
