Our experience at the Carte Hotel has been nothing short of incredible. This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Little Italy, allowing us to walk outside and immediately be surrounded by countless authentic restaurants, shops, and fun things to do. The hotel is beautifully designed, clean, and aesthetically pleasing, and the staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Victor is especially kind and made sure we were well taken care of. The pool area is superb and a beautiful place to get some sun. Both the pool and hot tub were at very comfortable temperatures. The hotel also allows guests to have access to a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. We highly recommend booking at this hotel if you’re in the area!

I’ll recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Diego. We travelled around California and stayed at 10+ hotels but this was our favourite and most hospitable without a doubt. A beautiful and very clean room with a view. Even with the size of the hotel, it was such a personal experience and the staff were so attentive. We got engaged a few days before staying here and they left a tray of treats and a card personally signed. On the day of checkout our flight was delayed and Victor at concierge extended our checkout time without extra cost and it’s things like that which make you feel appreciated as a guest. If we ever return to San Diego, this will be where we stay.

My stay at Carte Hotel was genuinely one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and that’s entirely because of the people. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and in a perfect location, but what really sets it apart is a team that makes you feel like a valued guest from the moment you walk in. Des was incredibly welcoming and personable from the start, making check-in effortless while creating such a warm first impression that I knew I had picked the right place. Isa consistently impressed me with her attention to detail and proactive attitude, always making sure I had everything I needed before I even had to ask. Adeline brought such positive energy every time our paths crossed, and her genuine kindness made every interaction feel natural and memorable. I also have to recognize Kassidy, who went above and beyond by offering thoughtful recommendations and checking in to make sure my stay was exactly what I was hoping for. A special thank you goes to Victor and Jordan, whose leadership is evident in every aspect of the guest experience. The culture they’ve created is something you can actually feel throughout the hotel. Victor leads with professionalism, confidence, and an incredible eye for excellence, while Jordan has an authentic, guest-first approach that makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated. Great managers don’t just solve problems, they build teams that consistently deliver exceptional service, and these two have clearly done exactly that. Every employee I interacted with reflected that standard, which says everything about their leadership. It’s rare to stay somewhere where every single interaction leaves a positive impression, but that’s exactly what happened here. Thank you, Des, Isa, Adeline, Kassidy, Victor, and Jordan for making my stay unforgettable. I’ll absolutely be staying at Carte Hotel every time I’m in San Diego and recommending it to anyone looking for truly outstanding hospitality. Five stars without hesitation.

We had a wonderful time at Carte. Elizabeth at the front desk was very welcoming and accommodating upon our arrival and throughout our stay. Jordan the director of rooms reached out and was very professional and helpful as well. The location was within walking distance to the water and many great restaurants. We loved the rooftop space and the atmosphere was amazing. My family and I enjoyed our time immensely.
