The Belltown Inn

“Perfect location”

The Belltown in was a great place to stay both before and after our cruise. Pike Place Market is a short walk away, Seattle Center is a little farther but still walkable. Great breakfast next door, and an effortless shuttle to the cruise ship and the airport.

Spent 1 night here following cruise. The staff could not have been more helpful from when I contacted them a week before arrival with a couple of questions to our actual arrival and then departure. Seriously, they were the best! Our room was not ready upon our early morning arrival so we had them store our luggage; they texted us when room was ready around 11:15. The next morning, we checked out but had red eye flight so again, had them store our luggage. We even had them arrange for a ride to airport which was $20 less than the least expensive Uber I could have booked. The room was clean and we got use out of the rooftop space. Location was good. We took public bus ($3 pp) from across the street to downtown and also to T-Mobile Park to catch Mariners' game. We could walk to Pike Street Market area. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is that there is no restaurant onsite. there is a few restaurants a couple of blocks away but we weren't in area for dinner. There are some unhoused individuals near the bus stop and in park across the street. The hotel has a security guard at entrance during certain hours and you must use your keycard for entry at night. We would stay there again.

A charming quirky hotel in Belltown. Very central to walk to the main sites (equal distance to the space needle and pike place/ waterfront). Customer service was excellent. They let us check in early and upgraded our room. They couldn’t have been more attentive and gave a great start to our first time in Seattle. The hotel is not a chain or faceless modern block but reminded me of America 20 years ago. The rooms could do with an update but the were clean and spacious with a fridge/ sink. The air conditioner was a little noisy as it was in room and self adapting but we slept very well. The rooftop terrace is fab and as there is no bar or restaurant they’re happy for you to take drinks/ food up which was lovely for breakfast and in the evening. Most people staying are on cruises so they are used to sorting out transfers to the ports €10 each and efficient even at busy times. There was free coffee in the morning and water all through the day with cups. The area around the hotel is different- you are not in the main tourist area (downtown/ pike place/ waterfront and at a pinch pioneer square are the main areas) but there were some nice restaurants and bars. However Seattle and in particular Belltown has a real issue with un-housed individuals and public drug taking. We saw lots of people taking drugs on the streets around the hotel but also downtown. Whilst I never felt unsafe this could be an issue for some people especially at night. The hotel take security seriously and have a guard outside and locked doors/ keycard entry.
