We visited Charleston for a high school graduation that required easy access to downtown Charleston, North Charleston, and Mt. Pleasant. The added bonus was Daniel Island itself, with its excellent restaurants and shopping. Home2 Suites by Hilton Charleston Daniel Island, opened in 2019, is a relatively new property that has been thoughtfully designed throughout. Amenities include a well-stocked mini-mart, business center, fitness room, laundry facilities, outdoor fire pit, grill area, and pool—everything needed for both short and extended stays. The housekeeping staff is consistently kind and attentive, always ensuring fresh towels and a spotless room. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, and the rooms are remarkably quiet—truly soundproof—creating a restful, home-like environment. Breakfast is a standout feature: fresh, hot, and varied daily, with an impressive selection and convenient grab-and-go options. We have stayed at upscale boutique hotels, and this breakfast easily surpasses many of them. Special recognition goes to the breakfast team—the dining area is immaculate, and the staff is warm, personable, and genuinely welcoming. Each morning offered something new and thoughtfully prepared. The front desk team also deserves high praise. DeMarco, in particular, set the tone for our stay. He was consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive, always greeting us with a smile. His professionalism and genuine enthusiasm for guest service were evident throughout our visit. We were genuinely reluctant to check out. We did not expect to feel this comfortable or at home. In terms of value, comfort, cleanliness, and service, this property exceeds many luxury brands we have experienced. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Charleston area.

We were in town for a concert at credit one Stadium. What a great little property as you pull onto Daniel Island. Very clean, modern and so convenient for anyone in town visiting credit one or just the little downtown area for that matter. I didn’t use the facility all that much as it was just one night, but the areas looked well maintained and inviting if you just want to relax or hang out and spend the weekend on Daniel Island. We typically come in from Charlotte and head straight to the historic district but I’m going to start rethinking that strategy and potentially staying on Daniel Island more often as getting to the historic district by car or ferry is very convenient and the pricing is so much more competitive. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows in good size square footage rooms for a family of five who does a whole lot of traveling domestically and abroad.

We had an outstanding month-long stay at Home2 Suites on Daniel Island, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. A special thank you to Kelly B., who made the entire reservation process seamless, especially considering the complexity of a long-term stay. She went above and beyond to accommodate our two dogs, which made a huge difference for us. Traveling with pets for an extended period isn’t always easy, but Kelly handled everything with professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care. When we arrived, DeMarco at the front desk truly set the tone for our stay. He was consistently warm, welcoming, and always greeted us with a smile. His positive attitude and eagerness to help never went unnoticed. It's clear he takes great pride in creating a great guest experience. Staying somewhere for a full month can often come with challenges, but the entire team made it feel effortless. We felt genuinely valued as guests throughout our stay, which is something you don’t find everywhere. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Daniel Island area, especially for extended stays or if you’re traveling with pets.

“Employee with dog off leash”

Rooms were nice and spacey. However, they had an employee, who worked in an office behind the front desk, that let her dog run around the hotel without a leash. Rooms were nice and spacey. However, they had an employee, who worked in an office behind the front desk, that let her dog run around the hotel without a leash. He approached other dogs and people and there was no sign of a leash. The lady would come out behind the dog but never had a leash and did not have control over her dog. He was not a mean dog but approached other dogs and she couldn’t get him away if the other dog did not want to play. This happened to my dog when he was trying to go potty outside. She also had the dog running around the breakfast area and behind the breakfast bar where she helped put food out one time also, while her dog was back there with her. The hotel is dog friendly and a nice hotel but they clearly state all dogs must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed in the food area. She did not follow their own rules. I contacted Hilton and they said they are sorry. It won’t happen again but since it’s an employee that appears to be in charge I do not know how they will handle this.
