Just a one-night stay as I was passing through on my way from the northeast to the far south. PROS: > Nice lady at reception > My room was clean and had everything I needed, including a small fridge — and a palm tree right outside my window, which was far more pleasant than the cold I’d left behind in CT! > Good gym, which I used in the morning > Typical HI breakfast > Comfortable and quiet overnight — I slept really well! CONS: > There were hardly ever any staff at the front desk, which was annoying when guests needed something > Security was poor — the lady at the front desk never asked me for ID when I said I had a digital key but wanted a physical key … she just simply handed it over to me, which was a bit dodgy! > Definitely a slightly outdated Hampton > My digital key didn’t work for the gym, so I had to get help from reception

“Decent place”

Centrally located about 30 minutes from Savannah/HH airport, 20 from Old Town Bluffton, 30 minutes from Hilton Head. Clean rooms, outdoor pool. Two restaurants next to the hotel. NOTE - Ask to stay on the backside of the hotel, it's quieter away from pool and restaurants.

This is my 2nd go to Hampton to and from ORL. My fiancé and I stumbled upon this WAYY OFF THE BEATEN PATH aka 95 about 3 years ago. I am a repeat guest once a month or every other so much I’m recognized by the night employee, she has had Choice Diamond member snack and drink ready without me telling it. This place feels like I never leave! ITS THE PEOPLE THAT I COME BACK FOR. maya always seems to answer the phone when I call for a late checkout and if I can get one she does it for me. People respect each other here both guests and employees. Very quiet and safe. I travel alone when I stay here most of time so that is very important for a younger woman as I mostly don’t arrive til later at night or late night. I park in the back and utilize the trees lol. This hotel has 4 working entry doors and all work on the digital key usually flawlessy! I like to stop here on way to Orlando and back. Again it’s the consistency that I come back for! Now I found it very clean. Sure some of the bathtubs and carpets have random spots here and there and I do think it might be time for some upgrades, but some people are just trashing this place for zero reason. Number one, don’t like the price don’t pay it then. It’s Hilton head in the summer, people. That is how is is sometimes and also in pooler when I stay and definitely Myrtle as well. Would I pay $300 for a night, uh no but I’m not paying that for any Hampton inn anywhere in the USA LOLOL. I WILL BE BACK HERE SOON AS I ALREADY LOOKING AT DATES FOR AUGUST! :)

In booking late, we had no choice to get the room configuration we would have preferred. The King Suite we ended up with has a large bedroom and modestly sized sitting area, but the bathroom is small and split with the sink outside. Configuration aside, the entire hotel needs updating. When things start looking worn out, they begin feeling dirty. I doubt that we would stay here again unless there were serious renovations put in place.
