We were originally supposed to stay here in March of 2025 but those plans had to be cancelled. We made it back this year in March 2026 and we were so glad we did. I booked the king Treehouse suite, and it was everything the videos made it out to be. The balcony overlooking the Bass Pro Shop was amazing! Very spacious, our two wiener dogs Scooby and Willy loved the view from up there and we ate dinner out there twice. People watching from the balcony was very fun and at night, after the store had closed and everyone had left, it was fun trying to spot a worker after hours sweeping the floor or stalking a shelf. It was a little like Where’s Waldo. And speaking of our two wiener dogs Scooby and Willy, they were hit of the place. All of the receptionists at the hotel lobby made a mad fuss over them and they even remembered their names throughout our entire stay. They each received their very own doggy snack bags and bandanas. We ate lunch at wahlburgers on their outdoor patio where we were able to take Scooby and Willy with us and even when we ate dinner at the lookout, they allowed us to take them with us in their strollers. We choose valet parking and it was so worth it. They helped get our luggage to and from our room on check in and check out and on check out, during the thunderstorm, having the valet bring our truck to us was very nice. I would definitely stay here again, maybe next time with a larger group.

“Doesn’t live up to the hype”

We liked the location near the new Grind City Amp. It was well-staffed and the property felt secure. Our room was nice, but it was in a dark corner of the hotel with a view of the underside of the outdoor stairs. The hallways are so dim it’s hard to find your room and to see where the key card goes… more

We liked the location near the new Grind City Amp. It was well-staffed and the property felt secure. Our room was nice, but it was in a dark corner of the hotel with a view of the underside of the outdoor stairs. The hallways are so dim it’s hard to find your room and to see where the key card goes. Our dinner at Wahlburgers was underwhelming. Finally, the free hotel shuttle we had planned to use was cancelled late in the day. The experience did not live up to the hype.

“Beautiful Hotel with Service Gaps”

The property is very beautiful, and the complimentary shuttle that runs at scheduled hours from the lodge to downtown is a nice touch. During our visit, we chose to celebrate a birthday at the property since it positions itself as a 5-star hotel. We requested a quiet room, Tony assigned us an adjoining room. Unfortunately, we later experienced noise from the neighboring room and had to call the front desk after 10:30 pm. Tony was very cooperative and addressed the issue promptly, which we appreciated. We were also unable to use the observation lookout because the elevator was not working. Since we stayed only one night and had an early checkout, we never had the chance to access it. Additionally, the room was missing soap, and the shower gel dispenser had less than half a bottle and had not been refilled. For a hotel of this caliber, that was disappointing. I had to go down to the front desk to request these basic amenities. The Wi-Fi also did not work for about half the night. I really wanted to give this property five stars because it is beautiful and has great potential. However, considering we paid the full price, having to ask for basic items like soap and shower gel, dealing with non-working Wi-Fi, and not being able to access the observation deck due to a broken elevator was quite disappointing for a 5-star hotel. That said, Tony at the front desk was excellent—very professional, helpful, and thorough in explaining everything. His service was a highlight of our stay.
