“Brand new, great service”

In all fairness, this place has an unfair advatage being brand new and all. That being said this place was great, clean and all new. The resteraunt was good as well. Barlos the waiter bartender is one of the best. He is an asset to this location, never let him go. Great staff

This group of brands has been doing a lot of eroding since Covid, but particularly annoying is the absence of adequate house keeping. For this amount of money daily housekeeping is warranted, but it remains to be seen if the industry will ever fully restore that. This building is an ancient 4 months old. It hasn’t had an opportunity for things to start failing. Upon checking in, everything is bright fresh, and new. There’s no evidence of wear in the common areas or the sleeping rooms. The bathroom was sparkling white, and with adequate towels and linens. The beds, sheets, and other room furnishings in brand new condition. The only thing I might suggest they could do better is to turn down the volume of the chime in the elevator cab as it is an ear piercing loud sound. The staff here has been courteous, professional, prompt, and satisfying. Their key card system works without hassle, which is much appreciated. Outside the landscaping hasn’t had time to grow yet, outside of the undesirable weeds and brush next door belonging to the State of Texas. They have generous sized parking spaces, and plenty of room to move about the parking lot with ease. Their lobby is open, airy, and spacious, and welcoming. Joshua on the front desk was courteous, professional, and accommodating. In the neighborhood are lots of nice things to eat from low cost up through extreme dining. You can’t really walk to any of them, but they are not far. And, they have a well stocked pantry of drinks, snacks, and sundries at the desk. They do offer limited food service within the building, and none of it is free. I did have a drink with them, but didn’t try their food. I don’t find anything wrong with it. I do recommend them, the pricing was moderate, and I’d stay here again if in this area. This brand chooses to leave out the swimming pool, which makes a lot of sense, and doesn’t affect my purchasing at all. Although Trip Advisor classifies this as a “small” hotel, with 5 floors and probably 120 rooms, I don’t consider it all that small. I’ve used this brand plenty of times, and I’ve not found even one of them with a garden.

“Digital Check In Doesn't Work Here.”

Went to UT Austin this weekend for a campus tour and apartment tours. Checked into this hotel using my Hilton Honors digital app the day prior. Went to UT Austin this weekend for a campus tour and apartment tours. Checked into this hotel using my Hilton Honors digital app the day prior. No floorplan on the app, so I called and asked some general questions about room location/ice machine/elevator. Was recommended Room 416 by Aiden using the Hilton Honor app chat function. Selected that room. Arrived to the hotel after 6pm on check in day. We were in a hurry to clean up and change clothes because we had tickets to a show. Got to the room, digital key did not work. Went back down to the front desk, and was told the check in process on the app did not work. I cry foul. I got a confirmation on the app and in email that I checked in online. They wanted a credit card to hold a deposit. Gave them a card (same card that's on my app), then given a key. We had literally 6 minutes to change and clean up, which we didn't get to do due to the delay. Dear front desk people at Hilton properties: If you don't want people to check in on the app, then don't offer it. What a waste of time and each time it happens, I'm aggravated and won't stay at your property again. Some properties...everything goes smoothly. Reach out to them and find out why it works. You could perform the same. Otherwise, the hotel is fine. Next to a highway interchange, so not the quietest property, but location is good if you're traveling around Austin. Beds were comfortable. Shower pressure and shower head were good. Room was clean, but I didn't get any photos as we were exhausted when we arrived and the room was 'used' at departure. Will I stay here again? Probably not. When I travel (which has been pretty frequent), I need efficiency. I don't want to go to the front desk if I have the option not to. Oh....the check out function worked fine. Go figure.
