When we arrived, we had an unexpected situation in the lobby. As we walked past the front desk, another guest stormed out and loudly used abusive language toward me in the lobby. I was confused, but the front desk associate, Plachette, had heard the whole thing and handled it with total professionalism. She immediately apologized for the other guest’s behavior, assured us she would address it as soon as possible, and even offered amenities. Her attitude was calm, kind, and very reassuring. Before we went up, Plachette also proactively mentioned there had been a complaint about an unusual smell on our floor and told us to let her know if we noticed anything. When we reached the hallway, the smell was indeed there—and unfortunately, the same hostile guest was in the room next to ours, yelling aggressively at (what we assumed was) her partner, with loud banging noises coming from inside the room. We didn’t feel comfortable staying next to that situation. Plachette was incredibly helpful and quickly arranged a room change, solving the problem for us without hesitation. After that, we had a quiet, peaceful stay. We’re truly grateful. Plachette’s ability to manage a difficult and delicate situation made all the difference and reflects very well on the hotel. “Nice hotel good customer service”

We stayed at the hotel twice in a two week period while a family member was having surgery. The hotel is older and in fact we realized we stayed there about 9 years ago when it was a Holiday Inn. We stayed at the hotel twice in a two week period while a family member was having surgery. The hotel is older and in fact we realized we stayed there about 9 years ago when it was a Holiday Inn. It is older and could be refreshed in some areas, but kept clean. The morning breakfast was probably one of the best if not the best we have had at a hotel. The employees are constantly refreshing items and also cleaning it. Our first room was a queen/queen. It was nice and a nice size. My wife went to use the microwave and realized the words were in French. We figured it out and asked about it at the front desk. Evidently when it was remodeled they were sent several in error and decided to use them. On our next visit we decided to get the larger queen/queen suite. It definitely has a lot of room for a long stay. However, the room was sparsely furnished. It had no paintings on the walls and the large living area had one couch and a couple of footstools. It made the room look very empty. It did have a desk and work area, but would be nice to have a floor lamp or other lighting. The other thing that would have been nice was a second sink near the microwave and refrigerator. You had to get water from the bathroom and carry it to the front area. There are no coffeemakers in the rooms. There is a machine off the lobby available 24 hours a day you can get coffee. Ice makers are not on every floor.

I stayed 5 nights, God help me, because it is close to UT Southwestern where I work hybrid from another state. First, the good: the front desk ladies were so kind to me. My car was safe in the lot. No one bothered me. The bad: this place smells like sewer every day. I paid $122 per night for the first two nights, then $107 per night for the other 3. Complete ripoff. Old hotel, loud air conditioning, loud fridge, loud place. I struggled here as a single woman and I will never return.
