I stay at this Marriott regularly for business travel, and the incredible service keeps me coming back. The front desk team does so much more than just check guests in and out—they take care of all the day-to-day things that come up when you’re away from home, making sure guests feel comfortable and supported throughout their stay. Tracy, in particular, stands out for his exceptional customer service. He remembers guest preferences, goes out of his way to make each stay more comfortable, and truly enhances the experience. He makes business travel feel more enjoyable, and his dedication to great service is one of the reasons I prefer this Marriott over other hotels in the area. Katie is also fantastic—she always remembers me and has helped me multiple times when I’ve accidentally made an error in my reservation. She’s patient, efficient, and always willing to find a solution, which makes a huge difference when traveling. Update in 2025–08, I’m coming soon for a one night stay on a personal trip because we are flying to Europe out George Bush. We were considering staying at the Marriott near the airport, but then I saw a flyer for OutPost while in my hotel room at City Place. I was able to advance-reserve two monitors, a keyboard, a dock, and a mouse. This will make it so that my husband can easily work from the hotel in the morning before our flight. This Marriott just keeps getting better. I recommend this Marriott for anyone looking for top-tier service and a great stay.

I booked one room at the Houston Cityplace Marriott prior to flying out of Houston airport. The hotel had a good rate and I was driving right past it before I hit Houston. The hotel is a little hard to find as it’s in a combined residential / retail area off the interstate and isn’t well signed. The driveway was extremely busy, owing to one of the apparent many conventions this place holds. Once I was able to find the valet, it was a breeze, and they were very helpful. Check in was quick and easy, and I got a late checkout with no hassle. The hotel is relatively new, with a good aesthetic. The outdoor pool looks very nice, and is heated, with a nice view of the open spaces. The gym is pretty decent for a hotel gym. The room itself was large and well appointed. For a new hotel there was definitely some odd wear and tear, but again apparently this hotel holds conventions almost non stop so that may be part of the cause. The hotel was extremely busy with the Comic convention. Including food trucks outside, bands, and people coming and going all the time from the hotel. So if you want quiet, book elsewhere. Hotel restaurant was okay. Good service but food was a bit lacking. The lounge had decent breakfast spread and snacks. With it only being 12-15 mins from Houston airport, I’d likely book again if the rate is good.

Beautiful hotel in a safe, clean area — but a few frustrating issues. We stayed here for a softball tournament, and while the hotel itself was nice, a few things made the stay less comfortable — especially after long, hot days at the field. First, the shower pressure was incredibly weak — possibly the worst we’ve experienced at a hotel of this caliber. I understand water conservation regulations, but this felt excessive. I eventually gave up and had to rinse shampoo and conditioner out of my hair using the bath faucet instead. Second, the sink faucet design was awkward. It was too short for the sink, so every time we used it, water splashed all over the counter. Extending it by even 1–2 inches would make a big difference. Finally, the temperature control in the shower was concerning. Even with just a slight turn toward hot — and a lot of cold still mixed in — the water came out extremely hot. For families with young kids, this could be a safety issue. I don’t enjoy leaving negative feedback, especially for a hotel that gets a lot right. But as someone who basically lives in hotels every weekend for travel ball, I hope this helps other parents know what to expect.
