“Favorite hotel in Downtown”
Absolutely, by far, my favorite hotel in downtown Houston. From the front desk, to housekeeping, to the bar and restaurant, friendly and energetic service. Walking distance to the Astros, Main Street, restaurants and bars. AND, newly remodeled.

“Nice hotel, lackluster experience.”
I booked the Sam Houston for a quick weekend trip to an Astros game. I'm not entirely sure I'd stay here again, but if I did, it would be after they're done with renovations.
