This is an excellent hotel for a long or short stay! I saw previous comments, so if anyone is looking for a "perfect" hotel, you will have to find a brand new one, and even then, you're likely to find issues.  The Element is exactly what most travelers are looking for, that blends safety, comfort, amenities, and price. The first impression I got of what to expect from the Element was from the staff at the front desk. I met Troy and Kiara, and they were definitely Ambassadors for the Element! They were extremely professional and knowledgeable about the hotel and local area. When I called for directions to the shuttle, Kiara was very patient with me, even after 4 calls! She figured out where I was at the airport and assured me that her driver would find me (and he did)! I am thankful that she is patient and helpful as this was my first contact with the hotel. When I arrived, Troy was working the guest check-in desk, and he provided me expert and efficient service. He informed me of the complimentary breakfast times, happy hour, free shuttle options within a certain distance for food, etc. Troy also let me know that there were local places to dine within walking distance. I was impressed with their gratitude that I was staying at their hotel and they really made me feel welcomed. I hope that the Element GM and managers realizes that they have such wonderful folks representing the Element, and they deserved to be recognized. I will definitely return to this location for my next business meeting in the area, and the professionalism of the staff is the main reason why!  The rooms are nice! The room entry door is very secure and has a deadbolt lock in addition to a latch for added security. I can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel that had such amenities (full sized refrigerator, counter top range, microwave, dishes & utensils, salt & pepper shakers, toaster, and more! There are many outlets for your electrical devices. The desk is spacious and it's perfect for getting things done comfortably. The bathrooms have plenty of lighting, and space. The room has carpeting around the bed area, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. Something that I did notice was that the other parts of the flooring is a vinyl/plastic simulated wood type of material. It was a bit sticky, especially after getting out of the shower. Perhaps a carpet runner would be the perfect addition. The furniture is rustic and a bit dated, but at least for me, that added to the comfort and relaxing feeling of the room.  There is also a gym located on the first floor. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay for long or short term. The floors are quiet and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. I'd highly recommend this location to all of my friends! Overall, it was a pleasant stay at this hotel. As others have mentioned, much of room decor & interior shows a considerable amount of wear & tear. We selected this hotel because of its pet friendly policy—allowing dogs to remain in the room crated while we weren’t present. Breakfast surprisingly was a lot better than I would have expected. Loved the omelette bar & the chobani yogurt station. Only annoying thing is more with the Marriott App not showing locations that are currently undergoing construction or renovation.

Here's the thing, I stayed here 6 or 7 years ago and it was pretty great, I really enjoyed it and thought it was much nicer than the places I usually stay. It has not stood the test of time at all. This place is badly in need of a renovation and is past it's prime. The couches are stained to the point I don't want to sit on them, the flooring has damage, the millwork shows obvious water damage, the appliances are dented, the paint is chipped throughout all surfaces, the wood furniture is stained and water damaged and the bedding is kind of grossing me out because they put a comforter on the bed but no cover on it and the pillows look yellow and aren't tucked into the pillow cases. This place is badly in need of a refresh. On the up side, the gym is well appointed and the equipment worked. All the rooms have filtered water in them which is a nice amenity and the complimentary happy hour is a nice touch. Shout out to the bartender who gave me my wine in a coffee cup to bring up to my room, you are the true MVP of this hotel. There are some decent places to eat within walking distance or that are a short drive away, the location is pretty good and the place is pretty quiet. I stay in the area frequently and I *may* give it one more shot just to see if I got a dud of a room, but it's definitely not as nice as it used to be.
