We spent 1 night at the Marriott Plano at Legacy as a family of 5. This is a fantastic property for several reasons: 1) Management: We traveled to Dallas for a soccer tournament that was cancelled right before we arrived. We needed to shorten our stay to one night instead of 2. We were incredibly appreciative of the flexibility of the staff to allow us to shorten our stay without the 1 night penalty fee. Thank you Derek and Morgan! 2) This is a rare property that has a 1 bedroom suite that can accommodate 5 people! There were 2 sofa beds and a king bed which works for families with 3 teens/tweens. If you want this option, put 5 people in the search and these suites will show. 3) The M club is closed on the weekends. If you have Marriott status you will get breakfast in the restaurant. This buffet was yummy - made to order omelettes, waffles and a full spread with fruit, oatmeal etc. Thank you Mario for making sure my daughter with nut allergies had several options. The service at breakfast was fantastic. 4) The gym was my happy place because they had a stairclimber (my fav cardio machine) and tons of weights. It’s open 24 hours. If you like to work out when you travel you will be pleased. 5) We did self parking in the garage- it was free for the weekend. They have valet if you want that option. 6) There is a Starbucks in the hotel- it was crowded in the morning with other hotel guests but you can use the mobile app to avoid the wait. 7) The location is fantastic- they have tons of restaurants in walking distance. We walked to the Legacy Food hall for dinner on Friday- not sure I would advise doing that again at night. The cars were moving very fast and the crosswalks weren’t the best. Overall you can’t beat the location, service and rooms here.

Nice, spacious room and overall hotel. Self-parking garage is within a 5-minute walk from the room, with an onsite restaurant and plenty of other dining options are within walking distance.

The overall service at this property is very good, and the staff does a strong job. That said, the rooms themselves are fairly ordinary and do not come close to matching the price point the hotel is charging. When rates at peak times, can climb north of $400 per night, the guest room experience should feel meaningfully more elevated than this. Instead, the rooms feel generic and underwhelming for the category. Honestly, the best comparison is a nicer full-service Holiday Inn, not a property commanding luxury-leaning rates. The breakfast buffet was another disappointment and felt like an area where the hotel was clearly cutting corners instead of going the extra mile. For the price they charge, the buffet should feel more thoughtful and higher quality. Instead, details like non-dairy whipped topping and packaged pancake syrup made it feel cheap and mass-market. Those are the kinds of touches you would expect at a lower-tier select-service hotel, not at a property charging premium rates. In fact, I have had noticeably better breakfast quality at Hyatt Regency properties for less money. Overall, the service is the strongest part of the experience, but the hard product and food quality do not justify the rate. The hotel is priced like an upscale property, but too many of the details feel average or value-engineered.

“Good location”

Great location in legacy east. The hotel itself was average. We were not upgraded as promised. The room was average, average M lounge experience. I like staying at the Renaissance down the street better. Average stay.
