We spent 1 night at the Marriott Plano at Legacy as a family of 5. This is a fantastic property for several reasons: 1) Management: We traveled to Dallas for a soccer tournament that was cancelled right before we arrived. We needed to shorten our stay to one night instead of 2. We were incredibly appreciative of the flexibility of the staff to allow us to shorten our stay without the 1 night penalty fee. Thank you Derek and Morgan! 2) This is a rare property that has a 1 bedroom suite that can accommodate 5 people! There were 2 sofa beds and a king bed which works for families with 3 teens/tweens. If you want this option, put 5 people in the search and these suites will show. 3) The M club is closed on the weekends. If you have Marriott status you will get breakfast in the restaurant. This buffet was yummy - made to order omelettes, waffles and a full spread with fruit, oatmeal etc. Thank you Mario for making sure my daughter with nut allergies had several options. The service at breakfast was fantastic. 4) The gym was my happy place because they had a stairclimber (my fav cardio machine) and tons of weights. It’s open 24 hours. If you like to work out when you travel you will be pleased. 5) We did self parking in the garage- it was free for the weekend. They have valet if you want that option. 6) There is a Starbucks in the hotel- it was crowded in the morning with other hotel guests but you can use the mobile app to avoid the wait. 7) The location is fantastic- they have tons of restaurants in walking distance. We walked to the Legacy Food hall for dinner on Friday- not sure I would advise doing that again at night. The cars were moving very fast and the crosswalks weren’t the best. Overall you can’t beat the location, service and rooms here.

Nice, spacious room and overall hotel. Self-parking garage is within a 5-minute walk from the room, with an onsite restaurant and plenty of other dining options are within walking distance.

Disclaimer:Although a travel agent, I will always review based on a traveler perspective with customer service insight as I have lived both positions for a very long time. Customer service in conjunction with my experience as a customer is what drives my repeat business and recommendations to friends, family and clients. I would like to start by saying that my family lives in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area so it is not often that I stay in local hotels unless coming for a different purpose which this was. This location was actually through a group booking for a family reunion so my family locally as well as myself and daughter stayed at this location for the weekend. Check in for me was a bit seamless as I did everything online. However, there was a slight mix up upon arrival because it was not conveyed to the front desk that my room was to be near my parents and siblings rooms from the group sales team. The mix up did not hinder the customer service of the front desk, it just took a little while to get sorted out and it wasn't a bad thing. The rooms were spacious and nice, and the building throughout was clean and welcoming. The location is in a prime location to walk to various shops and eateries that we frequented in free time which was great. I do want to mention that the only issue I had was with the valet as I did not have a vehicle at all, and upon checking out saw that I was charged for valet parking for my entire stay. I was able to get it rectified through calling the front desk who initially told me that they had a ticket for me having a vehicle which they found was a mistake because again I flew and did not have a car. I appreciate the ability to get it rectified quickly by the team. Now where this place stands out is their attention to detail and the absolute amazing culinary skills when it comes to food for groups. From the fajitas and latin spread that we had for our first night, to the amazing breakfast the day that we checked out, the food was absolutely amazing! One of the days we went to the stockyards and did a group outing at restaurant that catered our bbq and to be honest we would have rather had the hotel do a group lunch. The banquet team was always superb at keeping things stocked and making sure we had what we needed each time we were in the hall. I have attended various group events catered by the hotels and this by far exceeds any culinary experience so far when it comes to groups. I would have to say for the type of trip this was I would definitely recommend to various types of groups and families. The location is great, the customer service is good, and the group details and staff were phenomenal when it came to the culinary part of it. I would definitely recommend to clients, family and friends, as well as stay again myself if there was a need for me to do so in that particular area.

“Good location”

Great location in legacy east. The hotel itself was average. We were not upgraded as promised. The room was average, average M lounge experience. I like staying at the Renaissance down the street better. Average stay.
