“Hit and miss”

Staff was wonderful, all of them. Barry's Bistro and Bar were great. Breakfast buffet great. Good gym. Location is perfect. Negatives... room ACs are very old, barely kept room cold and smelled a little moldy, sneezing/allergy issues. Room smelled of smoke (prior smoker apparently). Elevator phone would beep busy signal every time door would open/close and elevator looked old/dirty (inspected recently??). Facility could generally use an overall update (new hall carpets, HVACs, lawn chairs, paint, patio furniture, beds). Room didn't get vacuumed when turned over. Toilet handle almost fell off, I fixed it. Rubber door seal pealing off. Sign said don't wear footwear into rooms because oil/sealant from outside could be tracked into rooms (we didn't see any though). Had to pay for parking. Stray cat with kittens living in front bushes being fed coffee creamers and water. North employee work area under rooms very messy with a random camping tent set up, visible from room patios. Still enjoyed our time, this place has so much potential but needs some investment/TLC which detracted from a 5-star review. We will be back because the the positives outweighed the negatives. Hoping management sees this to make some improvements.

“Convenient beach family stay”

Pros: The location of this hotel is amazing. They have great beach access and chairs. It’s 45$ a day to rent an umbrella and chairs even if you are a guest. Bar and restaurant have excellent food and service. The buffet breakfast was an amazing deal and very convenient. They were quick to respond to issues as long as you spoke to them at the front desk in person. We added a. Ight stay and they let us stay in the same room which was nice. Cons: our pull out couch the kids were going to sleep on was filthy! It had crumbs and makeup from a previous visitor and we found a pair of underwear under the couch. We asked them to come clean it and they did. We appreciated their quick response. The A/C kept not working and we had to call for them to service 3 times while we were there. And it still never really worked properly. I understand it’s near the beach and humidity can make it hard. We also kept our windows closed to keep it cooler but it was still hot. The back patio door also kept sticking and it was super rusty . The bathrooms also had a lot of wear and tear and overall things seemed to need some maintenance. Their beds were not the most comfy compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at similar tier levels. The front part of our junior suite was super loud from the hall but by the beds was quiet despite being near the pool. Overall, we had a great time and this hotel Made it super convenient. Would come back if the a/c worked better and linens were clean:)
