Solid property, but dated. You can tell the building is older, but the property is still comfortable and the service was solid. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was solid as an amenity from our Bonvoy status. The location was fairly central as well and provided close proximity to most main places in SLC. Would stay here again if the price was right.

We had a very mixed experience staying at this hotel on our Salt Lake City trip. The staff appear nice to your face but don't really care when you have a genuine problem or concern. Vanessa was very nice at first glance but when we had to tell her some of our issues, she got defensive and didn't seem to be understanding one bit. The actual hotel is outdated but still maintains an upscale vibe. The lobby is the nicest part, you can tell it has aged well, with a beautiful fireplace, a really nice Starbucks and even a really cute local gift shop. There's also a lower floor with a salon and a gym, but there were some creepy people sitting in the gym for 2+ hours on their phones and giving us looks. The hallways and rooms is when this hotel's age starts to show. The hallways are dimly lit and the carpet is stained. The rooms were alright-- same dated carpet along with dated and peeling wallpaper. The bathroom was updated, but the shower leaked badly from underneath and the toilet didn't flush properly. We didn't really have a view and overlooked the roof. It was hard to sleep because of the noise of the air conditionings and other machines on the roof of the hotel. On the bright side, the sheets were clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. The TV/WiFi was out the entirety of our stay, so we didn't really hang out in our room much. Something that really impacted my review is the housekeeping. Despite having a "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging from our door handle, housekeeping knocked and yelled @ 7:45 TWO days in a row. We had fallen asleep at 2am both nights, so that wasn't appreciated at all. The restaurant attached, 5th Street Grill, was really good but definitely overpriced. Grace was super friendly when she dropped off our food and our burger was delicious. Between the Restaurant, Starbucks, and Gift Shop, this hotel is pretty loaded with options. It's also very accessible to Downtown SLC, and Uber/Lyfts as well. These two elements are the reason for the 3 star rating. We appreciated the location, amenities, and clean room. We didn't appreciate the useless staff and housekeeping.
