Homewood Suites by Hilton Binghamton/Vestal is conveniently located off of Route 17 near Interstate 86. This hotel is located on a property shared by other hotels including Holiday Inn Express and Candlewood Suites. Hotel is proximal to University at Binghamton campus and approximately seven miles from Binghamton Airport. Complimentary breakfast and evening reception available with average quality fare but with limited selection. No on-site restaurant. Several dining establishments are near the hotel, a few within walking distance. Shopping mall located several miles from the hotel. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable. Main lobby and corridors were clean and well kept. Guest suite kitchen was spacious with modern and fully functional appliances. With the exception of oven, full kitchen available in guest suites however no kitchen sponge was present. The guest suite living area was relatively clean and furnishings comfortable although several of the lampshades were dusty. The guest suite bedroom was relatively clean however some food debris was present behind bed frame and nightstand. The guest bath was clean although the tub and shower were a bit worn. Guest bath sink and vanity are separate from shower tub and toilet. Overall, the guest suite was comfortable but furnishings were a bit worn and dated. Fitness center located in the center of the complex was clean and featured basic, yet modern equipment. Indoor swimming pool available; water appeared cloudy but did not use at the time of my stay. Ample parking available. Traffic noise from busy Route 17 did not present a problem. Hotel database and operating system was nonfunctional at the time of my checkout. Overall average experience and I would consider staying at this hotel again in the future when visiting the Binghamton/Vestal area.

“Needs improvement”

The room was adequate. The kitchen was small. Lighting was odd. Very bright. Breakfast was really odd. Steak fries and some type of green pepper and onion that looked like it was left over. Scrambled eggs and the bacon was good. Four people in the room and provided with two towels and no bed… more

The room was adequate. The kitchen was small. Lighting was odd. Very bright. Breakfast was really odd. Steak fries and some type of green pepper and onion that looked like it was left over. Scrambled eggs and the bacon was good. Four people in the room and provided with two towels and no bedding for the pull out bed. One surprising plus - newspapers were provided!

“Dated property”

I stayed here with points. The hotel is worn and was filled with contractor workers who aren’t always the quietest. (Also lots of pot smell.) The bed was pretty hard and uncomfortable. I turned the A/C down to 60, put it on high and continuous fan but couldn’t get the temp below 69. The water also … more

I stayed here with points. The hotel is worn and was filled with contractor workers who aren’t always the quietest. (Also lots of pot smell.) The bed was pretty hard and uncomfortable. I turned the A/C down to 60, put it on high and continuous fan but couldn’t get the temp below 69. The water also smelled awful.
