Not as expected, you must experience this culture to believe it. While the rooms and location are average, GM-Erica has set the foundation that enables her team to welcome every guest to their family during the stay. Furthermore, her office, is along the main passageway from the front desk to the elevators, so if she sees you walking by, she will ensure you know the staff is there to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This approach to the guest experience is unparalleled. The entire staff was quite helpful, but Jason was on a level of his own. If you want to meet someone who is completely elated to have you stay with "his" property, speak with him. In-fact, if you're just visiting and need a very positive and happy experience, come see him anyway. This property, and its staff, is setting an entirely new bar for the hotels in this area, AND will definitely have you questioning why every Marriott's property doesn't present this welcoming experience to the guest. One aspect that really hit the cover off the ball, for me, was the breakfast. Everything was prepared properly. The selection of food was broad, and aside from the normal items: eggs, waffles, cereal, etc., there were also breakfast sandwiches (Bob Evans or Jimmy Dean). I don't know how they managed to present such consistency in the quality, but every time I ate breakfast, I felt sad. I wasn't sad because the cook was doing a poor job. I was disappointed because I would be departing, and I know I can never get my breakfast sandwiches to taste like theirs, nor am I able to have mine come out soft and warm, while cooked through; even though I follow the instructions. Whoever is preparing the breakfast definitely added to a very positive start of my days. Gr8 job Erica and team!! Keep up the fantastic job of under promising and over delighting.
