This was our first trip to VA Beach and we looked at several hotels along the boardwalk. We chose this one based on location, the fact that all rooms face the ocean, and that it offered breakfast. We chose perfectly! Everything was awesome! We had zero issues for the entire 4 nights of our stay. The beds were comfortable; the view from the room was spectacular. Everything was very clean and well-kept. The room always had plenty of towels and Housekeeping was thorough. The breakfast was abundant, fresh, and restocked frequently. There were plenty of tables and a beautiful view if you sit in the main breakfast room. There are plenty of staff members in the breakfast area if you need anything or items are running low. They were helpful and friendly. The entire lobby area was spotless...even when guests would come in from the beach and were wet and sandy. Someone kept the doorway area immaculate. There was plenty of parking and the spaces were a decent size so that you're not right up against other cars. The door leading to the boardwalk and beach requires a key card to enter, so we always felt safe. If someone doesn't belong there, they are probably not getting in. We immensely appreciated the faucet immediately outside that door to clean the sand off of ourselves! The hotel is across from stairs down to the beach, so that was handy. The location of the hotel is great. Lots of restaurants and some shops are within easy walking distance. The surrey/bike rental was right next door, which was good. We loved that we could see pods of dolphins from our balcony! The ONLY thing I would change would be more places in the room to hang wet stuff (towels, swimsuits, etc.). We were very pleased with everything. That will definitely be where we stay when we go back to VA Beach.

My 13 yo and I decided to try out VA Beach for Spring Break 2026 since we've never been. After thorough research, I decided on Coastal and it did NOT disappoint! We parked in the 15 minute spots out front to check in, check out the room and then unload, using one of many luggage carts available. Once settling in, we moved the car to level 5 of the parking garage, which put us one floor below our room. The 5th floor was well lit, security cameras were visible and the room key is needed to enter the hotel from the garage. Oh, and did I mention that parking is included? The room was SPACIOUS! I always like to have separate areas when we travel. Upon entry, the smaller room is what you come to first. It has plenty of lighting, outlets, storage and a tv. The bathroom is also large with PLENTY of counter space. The hair dryer wasn't hidden in a drawer somewhere, but mounted on the wall AND there was a night light on it. I LOVED that! If I don't remember to bring one, then I have to leave the light on in the bathroom, which is usually so disturbingly bright because even though you may crack the door, it ends up swinging back open. This way, it was just bright enough to light the way to the bathroom in the pitch dark room, without disturbing anyone's sleep. Kudos to whomever thought of that! In between the two rooms is a little food area with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee station and small sink. The main bedroom can be closed off with a barn style door and faces the beach/ocean/boardwalk. It is very bright and large. Both rooms have a King bed with two end tables. The main room has a tv as well and a comfy arm chair for reading/relaxing. The balcony was large and had two plastic chairs and a side table. The lobby is very large and extremely clean. We didn't use the pool, although we planned on it. The breakfast area had a great view, the staff was amazing and the food was surprisingly good. They had self serve waffle irons, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese omelettes, breakfast potatoes, grits, cereal, pastries, fruit, oatmeal, etc. My only complaint was that I wish the coffee cups were larger. The hotel itself was in a decent location, although we didn't do too much in the area. I doubt we'll head back to VA Beach, but we know plenty who do, so I will definitely recommend this hotel. PROS: location, spacious suite with separate bedrooms, oceanfront with large private balcony, excellent housekeeping, breakfast and front desk staff, really clean, free parking, free breakfast. CONS: I wouldn't even call this a CON, but a suggestion would be to 1. have bigger coffee cups/brew size for the coffee machine 2. Replace the coffee machine in the lobby with one like the breakfast room. My daughter wanted hot chocolate, but since it was after 9:30am, she couldn't get it because the breakfast area was closed. Speaking of breakfast, it's only open 7:30-9:30 during the week and until 10am on weekends. I think 7-10am daily would be more convenient, but it worked fine for me during this trip.

I called the hotel late in the morning to inquire about an early check-in. He said the room was ready, and I could check-in any time. Can't beat that. The check-in clerk was great......polite and complete in going over "things." You pull in and park in a little parking area in front of the hotel, register, pick up a luggage and take it up to your room (leaving your car out front), unload, go back down to drop off luggage cart, and then take car up to the parking deck. The 2-King bed suite was outstanding. There's a private balcony with a view of the beach/ocean/boardwalk. There's a microwave and a good-sized refrig. Lots of drawer space. Basically, there are 2 rooms, each with a TV. There was a card with the 70+ TV channels listed. You don't see these cards that often in hotel rooms anymore. The two rooms were exceptionally well lit and had tons of electrical outlets. The bathroom was sizeable with lots of counter space. The mirror was huge and extremely well lit. The shower, interestingly, had 2 shower heads; never seen that. The shower was really good with large, soft towels. The one bit negative that I have with the hotel is that the breakfast has a late 7:30 start.......every day of the week. Not convenient for folks trying to get on the road early. VERY inconvenient!

If you're looking for a clean hotel in Virginia Beach that's right in the heart of everything, this is the perfect hotel. Right on the beach, great location, nice rooms, good breakfast every morning with a fresh variety. Typical hotel fare - make-your-own waffles, toasters available for the bagels and bread offered (we brought our own Pop Tarts). Coffee coffee coffee!! Fill 'er up. Juices... nice.
