The hotel’s atmosphere and front desk staff are great. They are extremely helpful and from what I can see-overworked! They need a raise! They are attentive to guests’ needs and wants. The lobby was clean and filled with snacks and offer an assortment of refrigerated drinks and hot teas as well. As a Hilton Honors member, I chose this hotel because of the oceanfront view. The value of this hotel is not too bad. There is a bar poolside -Aqua Social and a soft serve ice cream shop on site as well. From the pool you can walk right to the boardwalk and head to the beach. The appearance of the hotel needs major renovations and upgrades. I hope the Hilton brand has a vision for this property. It can be so much more inviting and a better value for customers. The breakfast experience could be improved by replacing the old windows with completely opened panoramic views with a walkable balcony offering additional breakfast seating overlooking the pool and ocean. The grounds are neglected, and people walk their dogs and I’ve seen many dogs defecate in the grass right outside our balconies. Yes people are being good owners and cleaning up after their pets, as they should! Hilton should add signs prohibiting pooping, as kids play in the grass and people walk barefoot. The balconies are old and rusty, and the bistro set (one table and two chairs) is unusable due to rust. Seating there would likely cause gangrene. I’m extremely disappointed with the hotel’s lackluster appearance. Our rooms were decent, but they lacked drawers for unpacking clothes. The refrigerator, counter, TV, phone, and flooring were clean as well as the shower and bathroom. There are plenty handrails for faster as the tubs don’t have much grip but can be a little slippery and the flooring as well. We rented room 201 and the bedding was great! The beds and linen were comfy and inviting. The rooms have backlots curtains for use although I’m a morning person and love my light! The breakfast had a good selection of items, including bagels, toast, oatmeal, cold cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit (bananas, red apples, and oranges), orange juice, apple juice, water, and an assortment of teas. The breakfast area overlooks the pool and offers oceanfront views, which is okay.

“The good and the bad”

The good news…the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were also comfortable. Staff as pleasant and helpful. A snack bar and a drink bar at the pool. The good news…the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were also comfortable. Staff as pleasant and helpful. A snack bar and a drink bar at the pool. The bad news…apparently Hilton bought the Quality Inn chain and is renovating to market to a mid-priced, value-minded traveler. What Hilton has put in is good. However, all corners, joints and interior angles in our room had decades of dirt built up. The dirt needed a good blast from a power washer. Breakfast is on the thrifty side of medium. We spent 2 nights, as planned. I wouldn’t have wanted a third night.
