My husband and I just spent a milestone anniversary at the InterContinental Hotel in Bellevue. The front desk agent, Badi, was friendly, efficient and informative. Our room was lovely, well appointed and had a nice city view. Within an hour of arriving the hotel delivered sparkling wine, chocolates and a note celebrating our occasion. We awoke refreshed and enjoyed the hotel’s brunch. All the staff were attentive and helpful. We look forward to a return stay!

Bellevue – Seattle’s little brother. Bellevue has long benefited from NOT being like Seattle. Like it’s smaller siblings Redmond and Kirkland, Bellevue has lived in the shadow of Seattle - bedroom communities that have grown into proper small cities in and of themselves. This Bellevue IHG hotel, branded as Intercontinental, seems rather boutique in its size and stature. I think it caters to the upper middle class tech wonks and business travelers in the area. It occupies the bottom 11? floors of a larger building (condos above presumably). Staff are friendly, courteous, and professional. Valet, Doorman, Reception staff and Concierge all looking good and performing well. Design and decor are lovely and modern. Quiet hallways with subdued lighting and a hint of Japanese aesthetic. Great location. I found a welcome card in my room with a couple of chocolates - a nice welcome that elevates it above the norm for me. The mini bar was well stocked. A stiff $200 incidentals per day charged to my card (which will presumably be returned). Small bar in the lobby served good drinks with a limited food menu; out in the open; not a place to linger for the night; rather, a good meeting place to start your night. I ordered a Gibson and didn’t have to explain to the bartender what it was. Valet parking is probably your only option in this downtown locale (I didn’t research it honestly). $30/night if memory serves? Bathroom was fine and spacious. Marble floors; walk-in shower; showerhead and wand; small make up mirror for the ladies at the sink. Towels were heavy and rough. (Think of them as good exfoliators.) Nice wardrobe with slippers, robe, umbrella, etc. Housekeeping staff was conscientious and friendly. When I checked in (early) I found housekeeping in my room polishing wine glasses over the mini bar - putting finishing touches in place. Kudos to her. my only real gripe is that temperature control in the room is substandard. Misbehaving AC led to a room change. Bed was comfortable, pillows, sheets, etc. were all lovely. Water temperature and pressures in the bathroom are fine. Also, the huge tv is so fancy that it doesn’t work! I can do all sorts of things with it, but watching tv isn’t one of them. (Update: Not true. Eventually I figured out that you can’t just select a channel from the guide. After you do that, you also have to find a small button on the remote that has an icon of a tv on it. If you press that, it works…sometimes. I guess I’ll call it “intermittent functionality”). OVERALL, I do recommend this place. The fit & finish is good. Fixtures and lighting are nice. Doors hinges and tiling are all well done. The place seems to be cleaned well. (It has the advantage of being new too.) I would book here again.

Doesn’t live up to the typical IC luxury status that others are – everything is just average from service to accommodations. Very limited amenities on site. Front desk informed me that the room was upgraded but in reality, it was exactly what I booked and paid for, so frankly it was disingenuous. Also stating that the stay is complementary when actually paid with points + cash is erroneous. Paid parking but it is valet, so you get the service in return but the Amenity Fee that ONLY includes (1) Internet and (2) Gym - is just preposterous, even Holiday Inn from the portfolio's budget category offers these amenities free of charge.

Stay was fine. Good hotel, clean, and new, which is all as expected. However more expensive and less amenities vs. nearby comparible hotels. Stay was fine. Good hotel, clean, and new, which is all as expected. However more expensive and less amenities vs. nearby comparible hotels. However, do I want to stay here vs. the Hyatt Regency, Westin, or W? Likely Not due to spas, pools, and PARKING. Parking is the only thing i'm really complaining about because all the other hotels have FREE parking in the garages. That alone adds $65/night which is crazy since most in the area, including the mall, have free parking. Please make this free to match others just across the street! I like the hotel, but mostly because it's new. But again, nothing far superior to make me pay for parking plus the higher room rates.
